Psalms 31
1 “To the chief musician, a psalm of David.” In thee, O Lord, do I put my trust; Oh that I may never be put to shame: through thy righteousness do thou release me.
੧ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਵਜਾਉਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਦੇ ਲਈ ਦਾਊਦ ਦਾ ਭਜਨ। ਹੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੀ ਸ਼ਰਨ ਆਇਆ ਹਾਂ, ਮੈਨੂੰ ਕਦੇ ਵੀ ਸ਼ਰਮਿੰਦਾ ਨਾ ਹੋਣ ਦੇ, ਆਪਣੇ ਧਰਮ ਨਾਲ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਛੁਡਾ!
2 Bend unto me thy ear; speedily deliver me: be thou unto me as a rock of protection, as a mountain strong-hold to save me.
੨ਆਪਣਾ ਕੰਨ ਮੇਰੀ ਲਾ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਛੇਤੀ ਛੁਡਾ! ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤ ਚੱਟਾਨ, ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਬਚਾਓ ਲਈ ਗੜ੍ਹ ਹੋ।
3 For my rock and my stronghold art thou; and for the sake of thy name lead me, and guide me.
੩ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਤਾਂ ਮੇਰੀ ਚੱਟਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰਾ ਗੜ੍ਹ ਹੈਂ, ਇਸ ਕਾਰਨ ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਮ ਦੇ ਸਦਕੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਲਈ ਚੱਲ, ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਕਰ।
4 Draw me out of the net which they have laid secretly for me; for thou art my protection.
੪ਤੂੰ ਉਸ ਜਾਲ਼ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਲਈ ਲੁੱਕ ਕੇ ਵਿਛਾਇਆ ਹੈ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਕੱਢ, ਤੂੰ ਜੋ ਮੇਰਾ ਗੜ੍ਹ ਹੈਂ।
5 Into thy hand do I commit my spirit: thou redeemest me, O Lord, the God of truth.
੫ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣਾ ਆਤਮਾ ਤੇਰੇ ਹੱਥ ਸੌਂਪਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਤੂੰ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਛੁਟਕਾਰਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ, ਹੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਸਚਿਆਈ ਦੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ!
6 I hate those that depend on lying vanities; but I trust indeed in the Lord.
੬ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਵੈਰ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਵਿਅਰਥ ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੰਨਦੇ ਹਨ, ਪਰ ਮੈਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਉੱਤੇ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹਾਂ।
7 I will be glad and rejoice in thy kindness; because thou hast seen my misery; thou hast taken cognizance of the distresses of my soul;
੭ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੀ ਦਯਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਗਨ ਅਤੇ ਅਨੰਦ ਹੋਵਾਂਗਾ, ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਦੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਹੈ, ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰੀ ਜਾਨ ਦੇ ਕਸ਼ਟਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਣ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ।
8 And thou hast not surrendered me into the hand of the enemy: thou hast caused my feet to stand on an ample space.
੮ਤੂੰ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਵੈਰੀ ਦੇ ਹੱਥੀਂ ਬੰਦ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰ ਛੱਡਿਆ ਹੈ, ਤੂੰ ਖੁੱਲ੍ਹੇ ਥਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੇਰੇ ਪੈਰ ਸਥਿਰ ਕੀਤੇ ਹਨ।
9 Be gracious unto me, O Lord, for I am in distress; my eye is consumed through vexation—my soul [too] and my body.
੯ਹੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਮੇਰੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਦਯਾ ਕਰ, ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਮੈਂ ਸਮੱਸਿਆ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਾਂ। ਮੇਰੀਆਂ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਗਮੀ ਦੇ ਮਾਰੇ ਗਲ਼ ਗਈਆਂ, ਮੇਰੀ ਜਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰਾ ਸਰੀਰ ਵੀ।
10 For my life is spent with sorrow, and my years with sighing, my strength faileth because of my iniquity, and my bones are consumed.
੧੦ਮੇਰਾ ਜੀਵਨ ਸੋਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਸਾਲ ਹੌਂਕੇ ਭਰਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੰਘ ਗਏ ਹਨ, ਮੇਰੀ ਬਦੀ ਦੇ ਕੰਮਾਂ ਕਾਰਨ ਮੇਰਾ ਬਲ ਘੱਟ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰੀਆਂ ਹੱਡੀਆਂ ਗਲ਼ ਗਈਆਂ ਹਨ।
11 Because of all my assailants am I become a reproach, and unto my neighbors greatly so, and a terror to my acquaintance, those that see me abroad flee away from me.
੧੧ਆਪਣੇ ਸਭ ਵਿਰੋਧੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਮੈਂ ਉਲਾਹਮਾ ਬਣਿਆ, ਖ਼ਾਸ ਕਰਕੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਗੁਆਂਢੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ, ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਜਾਣ-ਪਛਾਣ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਲਈ ਡਰ ਦਾ ਕਾਰਨ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਬਾਹਰ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਓਹ ਮੈਥੋਂ ਭੱਜ ਗਏ।
12 I am forgotten as a dead man out of the heart: I am become like a perishable vessel.
੧੨ਮੈਂ ਮਰੇ ਹੋਏ ਵਾਂਗੂੰ ਮਨੋਂ ਭੁਲਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹਾਂ, ਅਤੇ ਟੁੱਟੇ ਹੋਏ ਭਾਂਡੇ ਵਰਗਾ ਹਾਂ।
13 For I have heard the slandering of many; terror was on every side, while they took counsel together against me: to take away my life did they purpose.
੧੩ਮੈਂ ਤਾਂ ਬਹੁਤਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਬਦਨਾਮੀ ਸੁਣੀ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਆਲੇ-ਦੁਆਲੇ ਭੈਅ ਹੀ ਭੈਅ ਸੀ, ਜਦੋਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਪੋ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੇਰੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਮਤਾ ਪਕਾਇਆ, ਮੇਰੀ ਜਾਨ ਲੈਣ ਦੀ ਯੋਜਨਾ ਕੀਤੀ।
14 But I trusted well in thee, O Lord: I said, Thou art my God.
੧੪ਪਰ ਹੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਹੈ, ਮੈਂ ਆਖਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਮੇਰਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਹੈਂ।
15 In thy hand are my destinies: deliver me from the hand of my enemies, and from my persecutors.
੧੫ਮੇਰੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਹੱਥ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਨ, ਤੂੰ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਵੈਰੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਸਤਾਉਣ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਹੱਥੋਂ ਛੁਡਾ।
16 Let thy face shine upon thy servant: save me through thy kindness.
੧੬ਆਪਣੇ ਮੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਦਾਸ ਉੱਤੇ ਚਮਕਾ, ਆਪਣੀ ਦਯਾ ਨਾਲ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਬਚਾ!
17 O Lord, let me not be put to shame; for I have called on thee: let the wicked be put to shame, let them be silent, [passing] to the nether world. (Sheol h7585)
੧੭ਹੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਮੈਨੂੰ ਸ਼ਰਮਿੰਦਾ ਨਾ ਹੋਣ ਦੇ, ਮੈਂ ਜੋ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਪੁਕਾਰਿਆ ਹੈ। ਦੁਸ਼ਟ ਸ਼ਰਮਿੰਦੇ ਹੋਣ, ਓਹ ਚੁੱਪ-ਚਾਪ ਅਧੋਲੋਕ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਏ ਰਹਿਣ! (Sheol h7585)
18 Let the lying lips be made dumb, which speak hard things against the righteous, with pride and contempt.
੧੮ਉਹ ਝੂਠੇ ਬੁੱਲ ਬੰਦ ਹੋ ਜਾਣ, ਜਿਹੜੇ ਧਰਮੀ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਬੇਅਦਬੀ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ, ਹੰਕਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਨਫ਼ਰਤ ਨਾਲ ਬੋਲਦੇ ਹਨ!
19 Oh how great is thy goodness, which thou hast treasured up for those that fear thee; which thou hast wrought for those that trust in thee before the sons of men!
੧੯ਕਿੰਨ੍ਹੀ ਵੱਡੀ ਹੈ ਤੇਰੀ ਭਲਿਆਈ! ਜਿਹੜੀ ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਭੈਅ ਮੰਨਣ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਲਈ ਗੁਪਤ ਕਰ ਰੱਖੀ ਹੈ, ਜਿਹੜੀ ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਸ਼ਰਨਾਰਥੀਆਂ ਲਈ ਆਦਮ ਵੰਸ਼ ਦੇ ਸਨਮੁਖ ਪਰਗਟ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ।
20 Thou wilt conceal them in the secret of thy presence from the conspiracy of men: thou wilt keep them secretly in a pavilion from the strife of tongues.
੨੦ਤੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਹਜ਼ੂਰੀ ਦੀ ਓਟ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੀਆਂ ਜੁਗਤਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਛਿਪਾਵੇਂਗਾ, ਤੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜੀਭਾਂ ਦੇ ਝਗੜੇ ਤੋਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਮੰਡਪ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੁਕਾ ਰੱਖੇਂਗਾ।
21 Blessed be the Lord: for he hath shown me his kindness wonderfully in a beleaguered city.
੨੧ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਮੁਬਾਰਕ ਹੋਵੇ, ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਇੱਕ ਘੇਰੇ ਹੋਏ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੇਰੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਅਚਰਜ਼ ਦਯਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ।
22 And yet had I said in my despondency, I am cut off from before thy eyes: nevertheless thou didst hear the voice of my supplications when I cried loudly unto thee.
੨੨ਪਰ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੀ ਘਬਰਾਹਟ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਖਿਆ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਤੇਰੀਆਂ ਅੱਖੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਕੱਟਿਆਂ ਗਿਆ ਹਾਂ, ਤਾਂ ਵੀ ਜਦੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੀ ਦੁਹਾਈ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰੀਆਂ ਬੇਨਤੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਅਵਾਜ਼ ਸੁਣੀ।
23 Oh love the Lord, all ye his pious ones: the Lord preserveth the faithful, and recompenses the presumption of him that acteth proudly.
੨੩ਹੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਸੰਤੋ, ਉਹ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਰੱਖੋ, ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਸੱਚਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਰਾਖ਼ਾ ਹੈ, ਪਰ ਹੰਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੂਰੀ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ।
24 Be strong, and let your heart be of good courage, all ye that hope in the Lord.
੨੪ਹੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੀ ਆਸ ਰੱਖਣ ਵਾਲਿਓ, ਤਕੜੇ ਹੋਵੋ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਮਨ ਦਲੇਰ ਹੋਵੇ!
