Psalms 28
1 “Of David.” Unto thee, O Lord, will I call; O my rock, turn not unheeding from me: lest thou turn away silent from me, and I become like those that go down into the pit.
Psalmus David. Ad te Domine clamabo, Deus meus ne sileas a me: ne quando taceas a me, et assimilabor descendentibus in lacum.
2 Hear the voice of my supplications, when I cry unto thee, when I lift up my hands toward the most holy place of thy sanctuary.
Exaudi Domine vocem deprecationis meae dum oro ad te: dum extollo manus meas ad templum sanctum tuum.
3 Snatch me not away with the wicked, and with the workers of injustice, who speak peace with their neighbors, with mischief in their heart.
Ne simul tradas me cum peccatoribus: et cum operantibus iniquitatem ne perdas me: Qui loquuntur pacem cum proximo suo, mala autem in cordibus eorum.
4 Give unto them according to their doing, and according to the evil of their deeds; according to the work of their hands do thou give unto them: bestow their [just] recompense on them.
Da illis secundum opera eorum, et secundum nequitiam adinventionum ipsorum. Secundum opera manuum eorum tribue illis: redde retributionem eorum ipsis.
5 Because they have no regard for the doings of the Lord, nor the works of his hands: may he pull them down, and not build them up.
Quoniam non intellexerunt opera Domini, et in opera manuum eius destrues illos, et non aedificabis eos.
6 Blessed be the Lord, because he hath heard the voice of my supplications.
Benedictus Dominus: quoniam exaudivit vocem deprecationis meae.
7 The Lord is my strength and my shield; in him hath my heart trusted, and I am helped, and my heart exulteth; and with my song will I thank him.
Dominus adiutor meus, et protector meus: et in ipso speravit cor meum, et adiutus sum. Et refloruit caro mea: et ex voluntate mea confitebor ei.
8 The Lord is strength unto them, and he is the fortress of victory of his anointed.
Dominus fortitudo plebis suae: et protector salvationum christi sui est.
9 Help thy people, and bless thy heritage: and feed them, and exalt them unto all eternity.
Salvum fac populum tuum Domine, et benedic hereditati tuae: et rege eos, et extolle illos usque in aeternum.
