Psalms 28
1 “Of David.” Unto thee, O Lord, will I call; O my rock, turn not unheeding from me: lest thou turn away silent from me, and I become like those that go down into the pit.
Ein Psalm Davids. Wenn ich rufe zur dir, HERR, mein Hort, so schweige mir nicht, auf daß nicht, wo du schweigest, ich gleich werde denen, die in die Hölle fahren. (questioned)
2 Hear the voice of my supplications, when I cry unto thee, when I lift up my hands toward the most holy place of thy sanctuary.
Höre die Stimme meines Flehens, wenn ich zu dir schreie, wenn ich meine Hände aufhebe zu deinem heiligen Chor.
3 Snatch me not away with the wicked, and with the workers of injustice, who speak peace with their neighbors, with mischief in their heart.
Zeuch mich nicht hin unter den Gottlosen und unter den Übeltätern, die freundlich reden mit ihrem Nächsten und haben Böses im Herzen.
4 Give unto them according to their doing, and according to the evil of their deeds; according to the work of their hands do thou give unto them: bestow their [just] recompense on them.
Gib ihnen nach ihrer Tat und nach ihrem bösen Wesen; gib ihnen, nach den Werken ihrer Hände; vergilt ihnen, was sie verdienet haben!
5 Because they have no regard for the doings of the Lord, nor the works of his hands: may he pull them down, and not build them up.
Denn sie wollen nicht achten auf das Tun des HERRN noch auf die Werke seiner Hände; darum wird er sie zerbrechen und nicht bauen.
6 Blessed be the Lord, because he hath heard the voice of my supplications.
Gelobet sei der HERR; denn er hat erhöret die Stimme meines Flehens.
7 The Lord is my strength and my shield; in him hath my heart trusted, and I am helped, and my heart exulteth; and with my song will I thank him.
Der HERR ist meine Stärke und mein Schild; auf ihn hoffet mein Herz, und mir ist geholfen; und mein Herz ist fröhlich, und ich will ihm danken mit meinem Liede.
8 The Lord is strength unto them, and he is the fortress of victory of his anointed.
Der HERR ist ihre Stärke; er ist die Stärke, die seinem Gesalbten hilft.
9 Help thy people, and bless thy heritage: and feed them, and exalt them unto all eternity.
Hilf deinem Volk und segne dein Erbe; und weide sie und erhöhe sie ewiglich!
