Psalms 28
1 “Of David.” Unto thee, O Lord, will I call; O my rock, turn not unheeding from me: lest thou turn away silent from me, and I become like those that go down into the pit.
Von David. / Zu dir, o Jahwe, rufe ich, / Mein Fels, gib mir doch Antwort! / Denn hörst du mich nicht, / So gleiche ich denen, die in die Grube fahren.
2 Hear the voice of my supplications, when I cry unto thee, when I lift up my hands toward the most holy place of thy sanctuary.
Höre mein lautes Flehn, wenn ich zu dir schreie, / Wenn ich meine Hände erhebe / Zu deinem Allerheiligsten.
3 Snatch me not away with the wicked, and with the workers of injustice, who speak peace with their neighbors, with mischief in their heart.
Raff mich nicht weg mit Frevlern und Übeltätern, / Die freundlich reden mit ihren Nächsten, / Während sie Böses im Sinne haben.
4 Give unto them according to their doing, and according to the evil of their deeds; according to the work of their hands do thou give unto them: bestow their [just] recompense on them.
Vergilt du ihnen nach ihrem Tun und ihren bösen Werken! / Nach ihrer Hände Tat gib ihnen, / Vergilt du ihnen, was sie verdient!
5 Because they have no regard for the doings of the Lord, nor the works of his hands: may he pull them down, and not build them up.
Wenn sie nicht achten auf Jahwes Tun und seiner Hände Werk, / So reiß er sie nieder und baue sie nicht!
6 Blessed be the Lord, because he hath heard the voice of my supplications.
Gelobt sei Jahwe! / Denn er hat mein lautes Flehen gehört.
7 The Lord is my strength and my shield; in him hath my heart trusted, and I am helped, and my heart exulteth; and with my song will I thank him.
Jahwe ist mein Schutz und mein Schild. / Auf ihn hat mein Herz vertraut, / Und ich hab Hilfe gefunden! / Drum jubelt mein Herz, / Und mit meinem Liede will ich ihm danken.
8 The Lord is strength unto them, and he is the fortress of victory of his anointed.
Jahwe schütze sein Volk! / Ein Heilsort ist er seinem Gesalbten.
9 Help thy people, and bless thy heritage: and feed them, and exalt them unto all eternity.
O hilf deinem Volk und segne dein Erbe, / Weide und trage sie ewiglich!
