Psalms 27

1 “Of David.” The Lord is my light and my salvation; of whom shall I be afraid? the Lord is the fortress of my life; of whom shall I have dread?

El Señor es mi luz y mi salvación; ¿de Quién temeré? el Señor es la fuerza de mi vida; a quién habré de temer?

2 When evil-doers come near against me to eat up my flesh, my assailants and my enemies at me: then do they stumble and fall.

Cuando los malvados, incluso mis enemigos, vinieron a mí para poner fin a mí, fueron quebrantados y avergonzados.

3 If an army should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: if war should arise against me, even then will I have trust.

Incluso si un ejército viniera y acampe contra mí, mi corazón no tendría miedo: aunque la guerra fuera contra mí, yo permaneceré tranquilo.

4 One thing have I asked of the Lord, that I will seek for: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the loveliness of the Lord, and to be every morning early in his temple.

Una oración he hecho al Señor, y este es el deseo de mi corazón; para que tenga un lugar en la casa del Señor todos los días de mi vida, y contemplar la hermosura de su gloria y adorarlo en su Templo.

5 For he will hide me in his pavilion on the day of evil; he will conceal me in the secret of his tabernacle; upon a rock will he place me high.

Porque en tiempo de angustia me guardará en su tabernáculo; en el lugar secreto de su tabernáculo me guardará de los ojos de los hombres; en lo alto de una roca él me pondrá.

6 And now will my head be lifted up above my enemies all round about me; and I will sacrifice in his tabernacle sacrifices of joy: I will sing, and I will triumphantly play unto the Lord.

Y ahora mi cabeza se elevará más que mis enemigos que están a mi alrededor; por eso haré ofrendas de alegría en su tabernáculo; Haré una canción, gritaré de alegría, haré una canción de alabanza al Señor.

7 Hear, O Lord, my voice, [when] I call, and be gracious unto me, and answer me.

Oh Señor, que la voz de mi clamor llegue a tus oídos; ten misericordia de mí, y dame una respuesta.

8 Of thee, said my heart, “Seek ye my presence”: thy presence, Lord, will I seek.

Mi corazón me dijo: “busca el rostro del Señor” tu rostro buscaré, oh Jehová.

9 Hide [then] not thy face from me; reject not in anger thy servant, thou [who] hast been my help: cast me not off, nor forsake me, O God of my salvation.

No escondas tu rostro de mí; no abandones a tu siervo en ira; has sido mi ayuda: no me dejes ni me desampares, oh Dios de mi salvación.

10 For my father and my mother have forsaken me; but the Lord will take me up.

Aunque mi padre y mi madre se alejan de mí, tu Señor serás mi apoyo.

11 Point me out thy way, O Lord! and guide me on a level path, because of those that regard me enviously.

Enséñame tu camino, oh Señor, guíame por el camino correcto, a causa de mis enemigos.

12 Give me not up to the [revengeful] desire of my assailants; for there are risen up against me false witnesses, and such as utter violence.

No me entregues en sus manos, porque salieron testigos falsos contra mí y hombres que exhalaban destrucción.

13 Unless I had believed to see the goodness of the Lord in the land of life—

Casi había renunciado a mi esperanza de ver la bendición del Señor en la tierra de los vivos.

14 Wait on the Lord; be strong, and let thy heart be of good courage; and only wait on the Lord.

Que tu esperanza esté en el Señor; toma ánimo y sé fuerte; sí, que tu esperanza esté en el Señor.
