< Psalms 27 >

1 “Of David.” The Lord is my light and my salvation; of whom shall I be afraid? the Lord is the fortress of my life; of whom shall I have dread?
Abụ Ọma Devid. Onyenwe anyị bụ ìhè m na nzọpụta m, onye ka m ga-atụ egwu ya? Onyenwe anyị bụ ebe siri ike nke ndụ m, ọ bụkwa onye ka m ga-atụ egwu?
2 When evil-doers come near against me to eat up my flesh, my assailants and my enemies at me: then do they stumble and fall.
Mgbe ndị na-eme ihe ọjọọ busoro m agha ka ha ripịa anụ ahụ m, ọ bụ ndị iro m na ndị kpọrọ m asị, bụ ndị ga-asọ ngọngọ ma dakwaa.
3 If an army should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: if war should arise against me, even then will I have trust.
Ọ bụrụ na usuu ndị agha agbaa m gburugburu, obi m agaghị atụ ụjọ ọbụla; ọ bụladị na agha adaa imegide m, nʼoge ahụ, ka m ga-enwe ntụkwasị obi.
4 One thing have I asked of the Lord, that I will seek for: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the loveliness of the Lord, and to be every morning early in his temple.
Naanị otu ihe ka m rịọrọ nʼaka Onyenwe anyị, nke ahụ bụkwa ihe m na-achọsi ike; ka m biri nʼụlọ Onyenwe anyị ụbọchị niile nke ndụ m, na ka m lekwasị ịma mma Onyenwe anyị, na ka m chọọ ya nʼime ụlọnsọ ukwuu ya.
5 For he will hide me in his pavilion on the day of evil; he will conceal me in the secret of his tabernacle; upon a rock will he place me high.
Nʼihi na nʼụbọchị nsogbu, ọ ga-echebe m nʼime ebe obibi ya; ọ ga-ezo m nʼime ụlọ ikwu ya; ma bulie m elu, debe m nʼelu oke nkume.
6 And now will my head be lifted up above my enemies all round about me; and I will sacrifice in his tabernacle sacrifices of joy: I will sing, and I will triumphantly play unto the Lord.
Mgbe ahụ, a ga-eweli isi m elu karịa ndị iro m gbara m gburugburu; aga m eji iti mkpu ọṅụ, chụọ aja nʼụlọ ikwu ya; aga m abụ abụ, kụọ egwu nye Onyenwe anyị.
7 Hear, O Lord, my voice, [when] I call, and be gracious unto me, and answer me.
Gee ntị mgbe m na-akpọku gị Onyenwe anyị. Meere m ebere, zaa m.
8 Of thee, said my heart, “Seek ye my presence”: thy presence, Lord, will I seek.
Obi m na-ekwu banyere gị, “Chọọ ihu ya!” Ihu gị, Onyenwe anyị, ka m ga-achọ.
9 Hide [then] not thy face from me; reject not in anger thy servant, thou [who] hast been my help: cast me not off, nor forsake me, O God of my salvation.
Ezonarịla m ihu gị, agbakụtala ohu gị azụ nʼiwe; nʼihi na ị bụrịị onye inyeaka m. O Chineke, Onye nzọpụta m, ahapụkwala m.
10 For my father and my mother have forsaken me; but the Lord will take me up.
Ọ bụrụrị na nne na nna m ahapụ m, Onyenwe anyị ga-anabata m.
11 Point me out thy way, O Lord! and guide me on a level path, because of those that regard me enviously.
Zi m ụzọ gị, O Onyenwe anyị; duo m nʼụzọ kwesiri nʼihi ndị na-akpagbu m.
12 Give me not up to the [revengeful] desire of my assailants; for there are risen up against me false witnesses, and such as utter violence.
Ararala m nyefee nʼaka ndị kpọrọ m asị nʼihi ọchịchọ ha, ọtụtụ ndị ama ụgha ebiliela imegide m, ha na-ekupụ ihe ike dịka ume.
13 Unless I had believed to see the goodness of the Lord in the land of life—
Olileanya m bụ nke a: Aga m ahụ ịdị mma Onyenwe anyị nʼala ndị dị ndụ.
14 Wait on the Lord; be strong, and let thy heart be of good courage; and only wait on the Lord.
Chere Onyenwe anyị; dịrị ike, nwekwaa ume, ma chere Onyenwe anyị.
