Psalms 25
1 “Of David.” Unto thee, O Lord, do I lift up my soul.
En Psalm Davids. Efter dig, Herre, längtar jag.
2 O my God, in thee do I trust, let me not be ashamed, let not my enemies triumph over me.
Min Gud, Jag hoppas uppå dig; låt mig icke komma på skam, att mine ovänner icke skola glädja sig öfver mig.
3 Yea, none that wait on thee will be put to shame: let those be put to shame who deal treacherously without cause.
Ty ingen kommer på skam, den dig förbidar; men de löse föraktare komma på skam.
4 Show me, O Lord, thy ways; teach me thy paths.
Herre, visa mig dina vägar, och lär mig dina stigar.
5 Lead me in thy truth, and teach me; for thou art the God of my salvation: on thee do I wait all the day.
Led mig i dine sanning, och lär mig; ty du äst den Gud, som mig hjelper; dagliga förbidar jag dig.
6 Remember thy mercies, O Lord, and thy kindnesses; for they are from everlasting.
Tänk Herre, på dina barmhertighet, och uppå dina godhet, den af verldenes begynnelse varit hafver.
7 The sins of my youth and my transgressions do not remember: according to thy kindness bear thou me in remembrance, for the sake of thy goodness, O Lord.
Tänk icke uppå mins ungdoms synder, och min öfverträdelse; men tänk uppå mig, efter dina barmhertighet, för dina godhets skull, Herre.
8 Good and upright is the Lord: therefore he pointeth out to sinners the right way.
Herren är god och from; derföre undervisar han syndarena på vägenom.
9 He guideth the meek in justice, and he teacheth the meek his way.
Han leder de elända rätt, och lärer de elända sin väg.
10 All the paths of the Lord are kindness and truth unto such as keep his covenant and his testimonies.
Alle Herrans vägar äro godhet och sanning, dem som hans förbund och vittnesbörd hålla.
11 For the sake of thy name, O Lord, pardon my iniquity: although it is great.
För ditt Namns skull, Herre, var mine missgerning nådelig, den stor är.
12 Who is that man that feareth the Lord? to him will he point out the way which he is to choose?
Hvilken är den der fruktar Herran, han skall lära honom den bästa vägen.
13 His soul shall abide in happiness: and his seed shall inherit the land.
Hans själ skall bo i det goda, och hans säd skall besitta landet.
14 The secret counsel of the Lord is for those that fear him, and his covenant—to make it known to them.
Herrans hemlighet är ibland dem som frukta honom; och sitt förbund låter han dem få veta.
15 My eyes are ever [directed] toward the Lord; for he will draw out of the net my feet.
Mine ögon se alltid till Herran; ty han skall taga min fot utu nätet.
16 Turn unto me, and be gracious unto me; for I am solitary and afflicted.
Vänd dig till mig, och var mig nådelig; ty jag är ensam och elände.
17 The distresses of my heart are enlarged: O bring thou me out of my afflictions.
Mins hjertans ångest är stor; för mig utu mine nöd.
18 Look on my misery and my trouble; and forgive all my sins.
Se uppå min jämmer och eländhet, och förlåt mig alla mina synder.
19 Look at my enemies; for they are many; and they hate me with the hatred of violence.
Se deruppå, att mine fiender så månge äro, och hata mig med orätt.
20 Oh, guard my soul; and deliver me: let me not be put to shame; for I put my trust in thee.
Bevara min själ, och fräls mig; låt mig icke komma på skam, ty jag förtröstar uppå dig.
21 Let integrity and uprightness guard me; for I wait on thee.
Fromhet och rätthet, bevare mig; ty jag förbidar dig.
22 Redeem, O God, Israel out of all his distresses.
Gud löse Israel utaf allo sine nöd.
