Psalms 24

1 “Of David a psalm.” Unto the Lord belongeth the earth with what filleth it, the world and they that dwell therein;

Psalm Davidov; Gospodova je zemlja in česar je polna, vesoljni svet, prebivalci njegovi.

2 For upon seas hath he founded it, and upon rivers hath he established it.

Ker sam jo je ustanovil nad morja, in nad reke jo utrdil.

3 Who shall ascend into the mountain of the Lord? and who shall be able to stand in his holy place?

Kdo naj gre gor na goro Gospodovo, in kdo naj stoji na mestu svetosti njegove?

4 He that is of clean hands, and pure of heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto falsehood, and hath not sworn deceitfully:

Kdor je nedolžnih rok in srca čistega; kateri ne dviga k ničemurnosti duše svoje, in ne priseza na goljufijo.

5 He shall bear away blessing from the Lord, and [the reward of] righteousness from the God of his salvation.

Ta dobiva blagoslov od Gospoda, in pravico od Boga blaginje svoje.

6 This is the generation of those that adore him, that seek thy presence, [the sons of] Jacob. (Selah)

Ta je zarod čestilcev njegovih, ki iščejo obličje tvoje, zarod Jakobov.

7 Raise your heads, O ye gates; and be raised wide, ye everlasting doors: and let the King of glory enter!

Dvignite, vrata, glave svoje in dvignite se, večne duri, da vnide slave kralj.

8 Who is this King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle.

Kdo je ta slave kralj? Gospod prekrepki in premogočni; Gospod vojskovalec premogočni,

9 Raise your heads, O ye gates; and raise [them] up, ye everlasting doors: and let the King of glory enter!

Dvignite, vrata, glave svoje, dvignite, pravim, večne duri, da vnide slave kralj.

10 Who is then this King of glory? The Lord of hosts, he is the King of glory. (Selah)

Kdo je ta slave kralj? Gospod vojnih krdél, on je slave kralj.
