Psalms 24

1 “Of David a psalm.” Unto the Lord belongeth the earth with what filleth it, the world and they that dwell therein;

૧દાઉદનું ગીત. પૃથ્વી તથા તેનું સર્વસ્વ યહોવાહનાં છે, જગત અને તેમાં વસનારાં પણ તેમનાં છે.

2 For upon seas hath he founded it, and upon rivers hath he established it.

૨કેમ કે તેમણે સમુદ્રો પર તેનો પાયો નાખ્યો છે અને નદીઓ પર તેને સ્થાપન કરી છે.

3 Who shall ascend into the mountain of the Lord? and who shall be able to stand in his holy place?

૩યહોવાહના પર્વત પર કોણ ચઢી શકશે? તેમના પવિત્રસ્થાનમાં કોણ પ્રવેશ કરશે?

4 He that is of clean hands, and pure of heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto falsehood, and hath not sworn deceitfully:

૪જેના હાથ શુદ્ધ છે અને જેનું હૃદય પવિત્ર છે; જેણે પોતાનું મન અસત્યમાં લગાડ્યું નથી અને જે જૂઠા સમ ખાતો નથી તે જ ઊભો રહી શકશે.

5 He shall bear away blessing from the Lord, and [the reward of] righteousness from the God of his salvation.

૫તે યહોવાહનો આશીર્વાદ પ્રાપ્ત કરશે અને પોતાના ઉદ્ધાર કરનાર ઈશ્વરથી ન્યાયીપણું પામશે.

6 This is the generation of those that adore him, that seek thy presence, [the sons of] Jacob. (Selah)

૬હે યાકૂબના ઈશ્વર, જેઓ તમારું મુખ શોધે છે તેઓની પેઢી આ છે. (સેલાહ)

7 Raise your heads, O ye gates; and be raised wide, ye everlasting doors: and let the King of glory enter!

૭હે પ્રવેશદ્વારો, તમારાં માથા ઊંચાં કરો; હે પ્રાચીન પ્રવેશદ્વારો, તમે ઊંચાં થાઓ, કે જેથી ગૌરવવાન રાજા અંદર આવશે!

8 Who is this King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle.

૮ગૌરવવાન રાજા તે કોણ છે? યહોવાહ, જે બળવાન તથા યુદ્ધમાં પરાક્રમી છે, તે જ.

9 Raise your heads, O ye gates; and raise [them] up, ye everlasting doors: and let the King of glory enter!

૯હે પ્રવેશદ્વારો, તમારાં માથાં ઊંચાં કરો; હે પ્રાચીન પ્રવેશદ્વારો, તમે પણ ઊંચાં થાઓ, કે જેથી ગૌરવવાન રાજા અંદર આવશે!

10 Who is then this King of glory? The Lord of hosts, he is the King of glory. (Selah)

૧૦આ ગૌરવવાન રાજા તે કોણ છે? યહોવાહ આકાશોના સર્વ સૈન્યોના માલિક એ જ ગૌરવવાન રાજા છે. (સેલાહ)
