Psalms 22
1 “To the chief musician upon Ayeleth-hashachar, a psalm of David.” My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? why art thou so far from saving me, and from the words of my loud complaint?
Para el músico principal; ambientado en “La cierva de la mañana”. Un salmo de David. Dios mío, Dios mío, ¿por qué me has abandonado? ¿Por qué estás tan lejos de ayudarme, y de las palabras de mi gemido?
2 O my God! I call in the day-time, but thou answerest not; and in the night I find no rest.
Dios mío, clamo de día, pero no respondes; en la estación de la noche, y no estoy en silencio.
3 But thou art holy, O thou that dwellest amidst the praises of Israel.
Pero tú eres santo, tú que habitas las alabanzas de Israel.
4 In thee did our fathers trust: they trusted, and thou didst deliver them.
Nuestros padres confiaron en ti. Confiaron, y tú les entregaste.
5 Unto thee they cried, and were delivered: in thee they trusted, and were not put to shame.
Clamaron a ti y fueron liberados. Confiaron en ti, y no quedaron decepcionados.
6 But I am a worm, and not a man, a reproach of men, and despised of people.
Pero yo soy un gusano y no un hombre; un reproche de los hombres, y despreciado por el pueblo.
7 All those who see me laugh me to scorn: they draw open their lips, they shake their head, [saying, ]
Todos los que me ven se burlan de mí. Me insultan con sus labios. Mueven la cabeza, diciendo,
8 “Let him throw himself on the Lord, that he may deliver him: he will save him, for he delighteth in him.”
“Confía en Yahvé. Que lo entregue. Que lo rescate, ya que se deleita en él”.
9 Yea, thou art he that took me from the womb: thou hast been my trust when I hung on my mother's breasts.
Pero tú me sacaste del vientre. Me hiciste confiar en los pechos de mi madre.
10 Upon thee was I cast from my birth: from my mother's womb art thou my God.
Me arrojaron sobre ti desde el vientre de mi madre. Tú eres mi Dios desde que mi madre me parió.
11 Oh be not far from me [now]; for distress is near; for there is none to help.
No te alejes de mí, porque los problemas están cerca. Porque no hay nadie que ayude.
12 Many steers have encompassed me: the strong bulls of Bashan have beset me round.
Muchos toros me han rodeado. Fuertes toros de Basán me han rodeado.
13 They have opened wide against me their mouth, [as] a ravenous and roaring lion.
Abren mucho la boca contra mí, leones desgarrando presas y rugiendo.
14 Like water am I poured out, and all my bones are disjointed: my heart is become like wax, it is melted in the midst of my entrails.
Me derramo como el agua. Todos mis huesos están fuera de lugar. Mi corazón es como la cera. Se derrite dentro de mí.
15 Like a potsherd is my strength dried up; and my tongue cleaveth to my palate; and into the dust of death hast thou laid me down.
Mi fuerza se ha secado como un tiesto. Mi lengua se pega al paladar. Me has llevado al polvo de la muerte.
16 For dogs have encompassed me; the assembly of the wicked have enclosed me: like lions [they threaten] my hands and my feet.
Porque los perros me han rodeado. Una compañía de malhechores me ha encerrado. Me han perforado las manos y los pies.
17 I may number all my bones: [while] they stare and look upon me.
Puedo contar todos mis huesos. Me miran y se quedan mirando.
18 They divide my clothes among themselves, and for my garment do they cast lots.
Se reparten mis vestidos entre ellos. Echaron a suertes mi ropa.
19 But thou, O Lord, be not far from me: O [thou who art] my strength, hasten to my aid.
Pero no te alejes, Yahvé. Tú eres mi ayuda. Apresúrate a ayudarme.
20 Deliver from the sword my life, from the power of the dog my solitary soul.
Libra mi alma de la espada, mi preciosa vida del poder del perro.
21 Save me from the lion's mouth; as thou hast answered me from the horns of the reem.
¡Sálvame de la boca del león! Sí, me has rescatado de los cuernos de los bueyes salvajes.
22 I will relate thy name unto my brethren: in the midst of the congregation will I praise thee.
Yo declararé tu nombre a mis hermanos. Entre la asamblea, te alabaré.
23 Ye that fear the Lord, praise him; all ye the seed of Jacob, glorify him; and be in dread of him, all ye the seed of Israel.
Los que temen al Señor, alábenlo. Todos ustedes, descendientes de Jacob, glorifíquenlo. ¡Prepárense ante él, todos los descendientes de Israel!
24 For he hath not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the poor; neither hath he hidden his face from him; but when he cried unto him, he heard.
Porque no ha despreciado ni abominado la aflicción de los afligidos, tampoco le ha ocultado su rostro; pero cuando le gritó, lo escuchó.
25 Of thee shall be my praise in a great assembly: my vows will I pay in the presence of those who fear him.
Mi alabanza a ti viene en la gran asamblea. Pagaré mis votos ante los que le temen.
26 The meek shall eat and be satisfied; they who seek him shall praise the Lord: may your heart live for ever.
Los humildes comerán y se saciarán. Alabarán a Yahvé los que lo buscan. Que vuestros corazones vivan para siempre.
27 All the ends of the world shall remember and return unto the Lord: and all the families of the nations shall bow themselves down before thee.
Todos los confines de la tierra se acordarán y se volverán a Yahvé. Todos los parientes de las naciones adorarán ante ti.
28 For the kingdom is the Lord's, and he governeth the nations.
Porque el reino es de Yahvé. Él es el gobernante de las naciones.
29 All they that eat the fat of the earth shall bow themselves down; before him shall bend the knee all that are going down into the dust; for none can keep alive his own soul.
Todos los ricos de la tierra comerán y adorarán. Todos los que desciendan al polvo se inclinarán ante él, incluso el que no puede mantener su alma viva.
30 Distant ages shall serve him; there shall be related of the Lord unto future generations.
La posteridad le servirá. A las generaciones futuras se les hablará del Señor.
31 They will come, and will tell his righteousness unto a people yet unborn, that he hath done this.
Vendrán y anunciarán su justicia a un pueblo que nacerá, porque lo ha hecho.
