Psalms 22
1 “To the chief musician upon Ayeleth-hashachar, a psalm of David.” My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? why art thou so far from saving me, and from the words of my loud complaint?
૧મુખ્ય સંગીતકાર માટે; “હરણની લય “દાઉદનું એક ગીત હે મારા ઈશ્વર, મારા ઈશ્વર, તમે મને કેમ તજી દીધો છે? મને સહાય કરવાને તથા મારો વિલાપ સાંભળવાને તમે એટલે દૂર કેમ રહો છો?
2 O my God! I call in the day-time, but thou answerest not; and in the night I find no rest.
૨હે મારા ઈશ્વર, હું દિવસે પોકાર કરું છું, પણ તમે મને જવાબ આપતા નથી; અને રાત્રે પણ હું ચૂપ રહેતો નથી!
3 But thou art holy, O thou that dwellest amidst the praises of Israel.
૩તોપણ, હે ઇઝરાયલનાં સ્તોત્ર પર બિરાજમાન, તમે પવિત્ર છો.
4 In thee did our fathers trust: they trusted, and thou didst deliver them.
૪અમારા પૂર્વજોએ તમારા પર ભરોસો રાખ્યો હતો; તેઓએ ભરોસો રાખ્યો હતો અને તમે તેઓને છોડાવ્યા.
5 Unto thee they cried, and were delivered: in thee they trusted, and were not put to shame.
૫તેઓએ તમને પ્રાર્થના કરી અને તેઓ બચી ગયા. તેઓએ તમારા પર ભરોસો રાખ્યો અને નિરાશ થયા નહિ.
6 But I am a worm, and not a man, a reproach of men, and despised of people.
૬પણ હું તો માત્ર કીડો છું, માણસ નથી, માણસોથી ધિક્કાર પામેલો અને લોકોથી તુચ્છ ગણાયેલો છું.
7 All those who see me laugh me to scorn: they draw open their lips, they shake their head, [saying, ]
૭જેઓ મને જુએ છે તેઓ બધા મારી હાંસી કરે છે; તેઓ મોં ફેરવીને માથું ધુણાવીને કહે છે.
8 “Let him throw himself on the Lord, that he may deliver him: he will save him, for he delighteth in him.”
૮તેઓ કહે છે, “તું યહોવાહ પર ભરોસો રાખ; યહોવાહ તને છોડાવશે. તે તારા પર રાજી છે, માટે તે બચાવશે.”
9 Yea, thou art he that took me from the womb: thou hast been my trust when I hung on my mother's breasts.
૯તમે મને ઉદરમાંથી બહાર લાવનાર છો; જ્યારે હું મારી માતાનું દૂધ પીતો હતો, ત્યારે તમે મારામાં ભરોસો ઉપજાવ્યો.
10 Upon thee was I cast from my birth: from my mother's womb art thou my God.
૧૦હું જન્મથી જ તમારા હાથમાં સોંપાયેલો છું મારી માતાના ગર્ભમાં હતો ત્યારથી તમે મારા ઈશ્વર છો!
11 Oh be not far from me [now]; for distress is near; for there is none to help.
૧૧તમે મારાથી દૂર ન જાઓ, કેમ કે સંકટ પાસે છે; મને સહાય કરનાર કોઈ નથી.
12 Many steers have encompassed me: the strong bulls of Bashan have beset me round.
૧૨ઘણા સાંઢોએ મને ઘેરી લીધો છે; બાશાનના બળવંત સાંઢ મારી આસપાસ ફરી વળ્યા છે.
13 They have opened wide against me their mouth, [as] a ravenous and roaring lion.
૧૩ફાડી ખાનાર તથા ગર્જનાર સિંહની જેમ તેઓ મારી સામે પોતાનું મોં ઉઘાડે છે.
14 Like water am I poured out, and all my bones are disjointed: my heart is become like wax, it is melted in the midst of my entrails.
૧૪જેમ પાણી વહી જાય તેમ, મારી શક્તિ ચાલી ગઈ છે અને મારાં સર્વ હાડકાં ઢીલાં થઈ ગયાં છે. મારું હૃદય મીણના જેવું બની ગયું છે; તે મારાં આંતરડાંમાં પીગળી ગયું છે.
15 Like a potsherd is my strength dried up; and my tongue cleaveth to my palate; and into the dust of death hast thou laid me down.
૧૫મારું બળ વાસણના એક તૂટેલા ટુકડા જેવું સુકું થઈ ગયું છે; મારી જીભ મારા મુખના તાળવે ચોંટી જાય છે. તમે મને મરણની ધૂળમાં બેસાડી દીધો છે.
16 For dogs have encompassed me; the assembly of the wicked have enclosed me: like lions [they threaten] my hands and my feet.
૧૬કારણ કે મારી આસપાસ કૂતરા ફરી વળ્યા છે; મને દુષ્ટોની ટોળીએ ઘેરી લીધો છે તેઓએ મારા હાથપગ વીંધી નાખ્યા છે.
17 I may number all my bones: [while] they stare and look upon me.
૧૭હું મારા શરીરનાં સર્વ હાડકાં ગણી શકું છું. તેઓ મને ધારીને જુએ છે;
18 They divide my clothes among themselves, and for my garment do they cast lots.
૧૮તેઓ મારાં વસ્ત્રો અંદરોઅંદર વહેંચી લે છે, તેઓ મારા ઝભ્ભાને માટે ચિઠ્ઠી નાખે છે.
19 But thou, O Lord, be not far from me: O [thou who art] my strength, hasten to my aid.
૧૯હે યહોવાહ, મારાથી દૂર ન જાઓ; હે મારા સામર્થ્ય, મારી મદદે આવો.
20 Deliver from the sword my life, from the power of the dog my solitary soul.
૨૦મને આ તલવારથી બચાવો, મારા મૂલ્યવાન જીવનને આ કૂતરાના કબજામાંથી છોડાવો.
21 Save me from the lion's mouth; as thou hast answered me from the horns of the reem.
૨૧મને સિંહોનાં મોંમાંથી બચાવો; તમે જંગલી સાંઢોના શિંગડાંઓથી મને બચાવશે.
22 I will relate thy name unto my brethren: in the midst of the congregation will I praise thee.
૨૨હું મારા ભાઈઓમાં તમારું નામ પ્રગટ કરીશ; હું ભરી સભામાં તમારી સ્તુતિ કરીશ.
23 Ye that fear the Lord, praise him; all ye the seed of Jacob, glorify him; and be in dread of him, all ye the seed of Israel.
૨૩હે યહોવાહનો ભય રાખનારાઓ, તેમનાં ગુણગાન ગાઓ! તમે બધા યાકૂબના વંશજો, તેમને માન આપો! હે ઇઝરાયલના સર્વ વંશજો, તમે તેમનું ભય રાખો.
24 For he hath not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the poor; neither hath he hidden his face from him; but when he cried unto him, he heard.
૨૪કેમ કે તેમણે દુઃખીઓના દુઃખને તુચ્છ ગણ્યું નથી અને તેનાથી કંટાળ્યા નથી; યહોવાહે તેનાથી પોતાનું મુખ ફેરવ્યું નથી; જ્યારે તેણે મદદને માટે અરજ કરી, ત્યારે તેમણે તેનું સાંભળ્યું.
25 Of thee shall be my praise in a great assembly: my vows will I pay in the presence of those who fear him.
૨૫હું તમારી કૃપાથી મોટી મંડળીમાં તમારી સ્તુતિ કરું છું; તેમનું ભય રાખનારાઓની આગળ હું મારી પ્રતિજ્ઞાઓ પૂરી કરીશ.
26 The meek shall eat and be satisfied; they who seek him shall praise the Lord: may your heart live for ever.
૨૬દરિદ્રીઓ ખાઈને તૃપ્ત થશે; જેઓ યહોવાહને શોધે છે, તેઓ તેમની સ્તુતિ કરશે. તેઓનો હૃદય સર્વકાળ જીવો.
27 All the ends of the world shall remember and return unto the Lord: and all the families of the nations shall bow themselves down before thee.
૨૭પૃથ્વીના સર્વ લોકો યહોવાહને સંભારીને તેમની તરફ ફરશે; વિદેશીઓનાં સર્વ કુટુંબો તેમની આગળ આવીને પ્રણામ કરશે.
28 For the kingdom is the Lord's, and he governeth the nations.
૨૮કારણ કે રાજ્ય યહોવાહનું છે; તે સર્વ પ્રજા પર રાજ કરે છે.
29 All they that eat the fat of the earth shall bow themselves down; before him shall bend the knee all that are going down into the dust; for none can keep alive his own soul.
૨૯પૃથ્વીના સર્વ મોટા લોકો પ્રણામ કરશે; જેઓ ધૂળમાં જનારા છે, એટલે જેઓ પોતાના જીવને બચાવી શકતા નથી, તેઓ સર્વ ઈશ્વરની આગળ નમશે.
30 Distant ages shall serve him; there shall be related of the Lord unto future generations.
૩૦તેઓના વંશજો પ્રભુ ઈશ્વરની સેવા કરશે; આવતી પેઢીની આગળ તેઓને તેનું ન્યાયીપણું પ્રગટ કરવામાં આવશે.
31 They will come, and will tell his righteousness unto a people yet unborn, that he hath done this.
૩૧તેઓ આવશે અને હવે પછી જન્મનારા લોકોને; તેઓનું ન્યાયીપણું પ્રગટ કરીને કહેશે કે, તેમણે તે કર્યું છે!
