Psalms 20

1 “To the chief musician, a psalm of David.” May the Lord answer thee on the day of distress; may the name of the God of Jacob protect thee;

Para el director del coro. Un salmo de David. Que el señor te responda cuando estés en problemas; que el nombre del Dios de Jacob te proteja.

2 May he send thee help from the sanctuary, and support thee from Zion;

Que el Señor te envíe su ayuda desde el santuario, y que te sostenga desde Sión.

3 May he remember all thy meat-offerings, and accept in favor thy burnt-sacrifice. (Selah)

Que el Señor recuerde todas tus ofrendas, y que acepte todos los holocaustos que elevaste desde tu altar. (Selah)

4 May he grant thee according to thy own heart, and fulfill all thy resolves.

Que el Señor te conceda todos los deseos de tu corazón. Que haga que todos tus planes prosperen.

5 We will rejoice in thy salvation, and in the name of our God will we upraise our banners: may the Lord fulfill all thy petitions.

Que todos gritemos de alegría por tu victoria, y despleguemos estandartes en nombre de nuestro Dios. Que el Señor responda todas tus peticiones.

6 Now I know that the Lord saveth his anointed: he will answer him from his holy heavens, with the saving strength of his right hand.

Ahora sé que el Señor salvó a aquél que había ungido. Le responderá desde su santo cielo, y salvará a su ungido con su diestra poderosa.

7 Some [trust] in chariots, and some in horses; but we will invoke the name of the Lord our God.

Algunos creen en carruajes y otros en caballos de guerra, pero nosotros confiamos en quien es el Señor.

8 They are prostrate and fallen; but we are risen up and stand erect.

Ellos se desmoronan y caen, pero nosotros nos levantamos y nos ponemos en pie.

9 O Lord, save [us]: may the king answer us on the day when we call [on him].

¡Que el Señor salve al rey! ¡Por favor respóndenos cuando clamemos por ayuda!
