< Psalms 20 >
1 “To the chief musician, a psalm of David.” May the Lord answer thee on the day of distress; may the name of the God of Jacob protect thee;
Abụ Ọma nke dịrị onyeisi abụ. Abụ Ọma Devid. Ka Onyenwe anyị zaa gị nʼụbọchị nsogbu gị; ka aha Chineke nke Jekọb chebe gị.
2 May he send thee help from the sanctuary, and support thee from Zion;
Ya sitekwa nʼebe nsọ ya zitere gị inyeaka, ma site na Zayọn kwagide gị.
3 May he remember all thy meat-offerings, and accept in favor thy burnt-sacrifice. (Selah)
Ya chetakwa aja niile ị chụrụ, ma nabata aja nsure ọkụ niile ị chụrụ nye ya. (Sela)
4 May he grant thee according to thy own heart, and fulfill all thy resolves.
Ya mezukwara gị ihe niile nke obi gị na-achọ, mekwaa ka atụmatụ gị niile gaa nke ọma.
5 We will rejoice in thy salvation, and in the name of our God will we upraise our banners: may the Lord fulfill all thy petitions.
Anyị ga-eti mkpu ọṅụ maka mmeri i meriri, buliekwa ọkọlọtọ anyị elu nʼaha Chineke anyị. Ka Onyenwe anyị mezuo arịrịọ gị niile.
6 Now I know that the Lord saveth his anointed: he will answer him from his holy heavens, with the saving strength of his right hand.
Ugbu a, amaara m na Onyenwe anyị na-azọpụta onye ya o tere mmanụ; ọ na-esite nʼebe nsọ ya nʼeluigwe jiri aka nri ya, zọpụta ma zakwaa ya.
7 Some [trust] in chariots, and some in horses; but we will invoke the name of the Lord our God.
Ụfọdụ na-atụkwasị obi ha na ịnyịnya, ndị ọzọ nʼụgbọ agha; ma anyị na-atụkwasị aha Onyenwe anyị, Chineke anyị, obi.
8 They are prostrate and fallen; but we are risen up and stand erect.
Ha na-egbu ikpere nʼala ma daa, ma anyị ga-ebili, kwụrụ chịm.
9 O Lord, save [us]: may the king answer us on the day when we call [on him].
O Onyenwe anyị, zọpụta eze! Zakwaa anyị mgbe anyị kpọkuru gị!
