Psalms 16
1 “A Michtham of David.” Preserve me, O God; for I have placed my trust in thee.
दावीद की मिकताम गीत रचना. परमेश्वर, मुझे सुरक्षा प्रदान कीजिए, क्योंकि मैंने आप में आश्रय लिया है.
2 [O my soul], thou hast said unto the Lord, Thou art my Lord: my happiness is not without thee;
याहवेह से मैंने कहा, “आप ही प्रभु हैं; वस्तुतः आपको छोड़ मेरा हित संभव ही नहीं.”
3 [But] in the saints who are on the earth, and in the excellent—in them is all my delight.
पृथ्वी पर आपके लोग पवित्र महिमामय हैं, “वे ही मेरे सुख एवं आनंद का स्रोत हैं.”
4 Multiplied shall be the sorrows of those who give presents to another god: I will not pour out their drink-offerings of blood, nor bear their names upon my lips.
वे, जो अन्य देवताओं के पीछे भागते हैं, उनके क्लेशों में वृद्धि होती जाएगी. मैं उन देवताओं के लिए न तो रक्त की पेय बलि उंडेलूंगा और न मैं उनका नाम अपने होंठों पर लाऊंगा.
5 Thou, O Lord, art the portion of my inheritance, and my cup; thou hast drawn my lot.
याहवेह, आप मेरा हिस्सा हैं, आप ही मेरा भाग हैं; आप ही मुझे सुरक्षा प्रदान करते हैं.
6 My possessions are fallen in agreeable places: yea, my heritage is pleasant to me.
माप की डोर ने मेरे लिए रमणीय स्थान निर्धारित किए हैं; निःसंदेह मेरा भाग आकर्षक है.
7 I will bless the Lord, who hath given me counsel: also in the night seasons my reins admonish me.
मैं याहवेह को स्तुत्य कहूंगा, जिन्होंने मेरा मार्गदर्शन किया है; रात्रि में भी मेरा अंतःकरण मुझे शिक्षा देता है.
8 I have always set the Lord before me, that, being at my right hand, I might not be moved.
मैंने सदैव ही याहवेह की उपस्थिति का बोध अपने सामने बनाए रखा है. जब वह नित मेरे दायें पक्ष में रहते हैं, तो भला मैं कैसे लड़खड़ा सकता हूं.
9 Therefore is rejoiced my heart, and my spirit is glad: also my flesh shall rest in safety.
इसलिये मेरा हृदय आनंदित और मेरी जीभ मगन हुई; मेरा शरीर भी सुरक्षा में विश्राम करेगा,
10 For thou wilt not abandon my soul to the grave: thou wilt not suffer thy pious [servant] to see corruption. (Sheol h7585)
क्योंकि आप मेरे प्राण को अधोलोक में सड़ने नहीं छोड़ देंगे, और न अपने मनचाहे प्रिय पात्र को मृत्यु के क्षय में. (Sheol h7585)
11 Thou wilt let me know the path of life: fulness of joy is in thy presence; pleasures are at thy right hand for evermore.
आप मुझ पर सर्वदा जीवन का मार्ग प्रकाशित करेंगे; आपकी उपस्थिति में परम आनंद है, आपके दाहिने हाथ में सर्वदा सुख बना रहता है.
