< Psalms 16 >

1 “A Michtham of David.” Preserve me, O God; for I have placed my trust in thee.
Neihoibitnin O Pathen: ajeh chu nangahi kinem jing kahi.
2 [O my soul], thou hast said unto the Lord, Thou art my Lord: my happiness is not without thee;
O Kalhagao, nangman Pakai koma Nanghi ka Pakai nahi nati, thilpha kaneijouse hi nanga kon bou ahi;
3 [But] in the saints who are on the earth, and in the excellent—in them is all my delight.
Leiset a Pathen lhentumte hi pachat umtah ahiuvin, amahohi keidinga kagal lamkai le kakipa thanop napen ahiuve.
4 Multiplied shall be the sorrows of those who give presents to another god: I will not pour out their drink-offerings of blood, nor bear their names upon my lips.
pathen dangho nung jui a delle ho chualungkhamnao kibejing ding ahi. Amaho thisan a kilhaina gantha a pang kahilouding, apathennu jong kahoupeh loudiu ahi.
5 Thou, O Lord, art the portion of my inheritance, and my cup; thou hast drawn my lot.
Pakai hi kachanding gou le kaphatthei channa khon chu ahi. Pakai in ka ijakai eichintup peh e.
6 My possessions are fallen in agreeable places: yea, my heritage is pleasant to me.
Nangin neipeh gam jonghi gamphapen ahi, itobanga goupha kidang neipeh hitam!
7 I will bless the Lord, who hath given me counsel: also in the night seasons my reins admonish me.
Ijakai eihilla ka Pakai chu keiman thangvah inge; janteng jong le avel in eigeldoh sah jin eihil ji'e.
8 I have always set the Lord before me, that, being at my right hand, I might not be moved.
Pakai in eiumpi danhi keiman hetna kanei jinge. Amahi kakomma naichakhatna um ahi ti kahen hijeh chun keima lungthomhao ponge.
9 Therefore is rejoiced my heart, and my spirit is glad: also my flesh shall rest in safety.
Hijeh hin keima kalung amongsellin chuleh kipanan kadimmin Pathen kathangvah e.
10 For thou wilt not abandon my soul to the grave: thou wilt not suffer thy pious [servant] to see corruption. (Sheol h7585)
Ajeh chu nangin thina mun a neidalha pon natin namitheng te jong lhankhuh a lhahlutsah pon nate. (Sheol h7585)
11 Thou wilt let me know the path of life: fulness of joy is in thy presence; pleasures are at thy right hand for evermore.
Nangin hinnalampi chu neimusah’in natin, neiumpi jal a kipana le nei umpina tonsot nopna chu nei pen nate.
