Psalms 16
1 “A Michtham of David.” Preserve me, O God; for I have placed my trust in thee.
Mikitamu ya Davide. Ndisungeni Inu Mulungu, pakuti ine ndimathawira kwa Inu.
2 [O my soul], thou hast said unto the Lord, Thou art my Lord: my happiness is not without thee;
Ndinati kwa Yehova, “Inu ndinu Ambuye anga; popanda Inu, ine ndilibe chinthu chinanso chabwino.”
3 [But] in the saints who are on the earth, and in the excellent—in them is all my delight.
Kunena za oyera mtima amene ali pa dziko, amenewa ndi olemekezeka, amene ndimakondwera nawo.
4 Multiplied shall be the sorrows of those who give presents to another god: I will not pour out their drink-offerings of blood, nor bear their names upon my lips.
Anthu amene amathamangira kwa milungu ina mavuto awo adzachulukadi. Ine sindidzathira nawo nsembe zawo zamagazi kapena kutchula mayina awo ndi pakamwa panga.
5 Thou, O Lord, art the portion of my inheritance, and my cup; thou hast drawn my lot.
Yehova, Inu mwandipatsa cholowa changa ndi chikho changa; mwateteza kolimba gawo langa.
6 My possessions are fallen in agreeable places: yea, my heritage is pleasant to me.
Malire a malo anga akhala pabwino; ndithudi, ine ndili cholowa chokondweretsa kwambiri.
7 I will bless the Lord, who hath given me counsel: also in the night seasons my reins admonish me.
Ine ndidzatamanda Yehova amene amandipatsa uphungu; ngakhale usiku mtima wanga umandilangiza.
8 I have always set the Lord before me, that, being at my right hand, I might not be moved.
Ndayika Yehova patsogolo panga nthawi zonse. Popeza Iyeyo ali kudzanja langa lamanja, sindidzagwedezeka.
9 Therefore is rejoiced my heart, and my spirit is glad: also my flesh shall rest in safety.
Choncho mtima wanga ndi wosangalala ndipo pakamwa panga pakukondwera; thupi langanso lidzakhala pabwino,
10 For thou wilt not abandon my soul to the grave: thou wilt not suffer thy pious [servant] to see corruption. (Sheol h7585)
chifukwa Inu simudzandisiya ku manda, simudzalola kuti woyera wanu avunde. (Sheol h7585)
11 Thou wilt let me know the path of life: fulness of joy is in thy presence; pleasures are at thy right hand for evermore.
Inu mwandidziwitsa njira ya moyo; mudzandidzaza ndi chimwemwe pamaso panu, ndidzasangalala mpaka muyaya pa dzanja lanu lamanja.
