Psalms 15

1 “A psalm of David.” Lord, who may sojourn in thy tent? who may dwell on thy holy mount?

Zsoltár Dávidtól. Örökkévaló, ki időzhet sátorodban, ki lakhatik szent hegyeden?

2 He that walketh uprightly, and worketh righteousness, and speaketh the truth in his heart;

A ki gáncstalanságban jár, igazságot mível és igazat beszél szívében;

3 That uttereth no calumny with his tongue, that doth no evil to his neighbor, and bringeth no reproach on his fellow-man;

nem rágalmazott nyelvével, nem tett felebarátjának rosszat, és gyalázást nem ejtett ki társa ellen;

4 In whose eyes the despicable is despised; but that honoreth those who fear the Lord; that sweareth to his own injury, and changeth not;

a ki megvetni való, az szemeiben becstelen; de az istenfélőket tiszteli; kárára esküszik, de meg nem változtatja;

5 That putteth not out his money for interest, and taketh no bribe against the innocent. He that doth these things shall not be moved to eternity.

pénzét nem adta kamatra, és megvesztegetést ártatlan ellen el nem fogadott: a ki ezeket cselekszi, nem tántorodik meg soha.
