Psalms 15

1 “A psalm of David.” Lord, who may sojourn in thy tent? who may dwell on thy holy mount?

Davidin Psalmi. Herra, kuka asuu sinun majassas? eli kuka on pysyväinen sinun pyhällä vuorellas?

2 He that walketh uprightly, and worketh righteousness, and speaketh the truth in his heart;

Joka vaeltaa ja tekee oikeuden, ja puhuu totuuden sydämestänsä;

3 That uttereth no calumny with his tongue, that doth no evil to his neighbor, and bringeth no reproach on his fellow-man;

Joka ei kielellänsä panettele, eikä lähimmäisellensä mitään pahaa tee, ja ei häpäise lähimmäistänsä;

4 In whose eyes the despicable is despised; but that honoreth those who fear the Lord; that sweareth to his own injury, and changeth not;

Joka jumalattomat katsoo ylön, vaan kunnioittaa Jumalaa pelkääväisiä; joka lähimmäisellensä vannoo ja pitää.

5 That putteth not out his money for interest, and taketh no bribe against the innocent. He that doth these things shall not be moved to eternity.

Joka ei anna rahaansa korolle, eikä ota lahjoja viatointa vastaan. Joka näin tekee, ei hän horjahda ijankaikkisesti.
