Psalms 149

1 Hallelujah. Sing unto the Lord a new song, his praise in the congregation of the pious.

Dumisani iNkosi! HIabelelani iNkosi ingoma entsha, indumiso yayo ebandleni labangcwele.

2 Let Israel rejoice in his Maker: let the children of Zion exult in their King.

UIsrayeli kathokoze ngoMenzi wakhe, abantwana beZiyoni kabathabe eNkosini yabo.

3 Let them praise his name in the dance: with the timbrel and harp let them sing praises unto him.

Kabadumise ibizo layo ngokusina, kabayihlabelele indumiso ngesigujana lechacho.

4 For the Lord taketh pleasure in his people; he will adorn the meek with salvation.

Ngoba iNkosi iyathokoza ngabantu bayo; izacecisa abamnene ngosindiso.

5 Let the pious be joyful in glory: let them sing aloud upon their couches.

Abangcwele kabathokoze ngendumiso, kabahlabelele ngenjabulo emibhedeni yabo.

6 The exalted praises of God are in their mouth, and a two-edged sword is in their hand;

Indumiso zikaNkulunkulu zisemphinjeni wabo, lenkemba esika nhlangothi mbili esandleni sabo,

7 To execute vengeance on the nations, and chastisements on the people:

ukuze benze impindiselo phezu kwabahedeni, izijeziso phezu kwezizwe,

8 To bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron:

ukuze babophe amakhosi azo ngamaketane, lezikhulu zazo ngezibopho zensimbi,

9 To execute upon them the judgment [which is] written: this is an honor for all his pious servants. Hallelujah.

ukuze benze isahlulelo esibhaliweyo phezu kwazo. Loludumo abangcwele bayo bonke balalo. Dumisani iNkosi!
