Psalms 149

1 Hallelujah. Sing unto the Lord a new song, his praise in the congregation of the pious.

Pujilah TUHAN! Nyanyikanlah lagu baru bagi TUHAN, pujilah Dia dalam kumpulan umat-Nya!

2 Let Israel rejoice in his Maker: let the children of Zion exult in their King.

Bersukacitalah, hai Israel karena Penciptamu; bergembiralah, hai penduduk Sion karena Rajamu!

3 Let them praise his name in the dance: with the timbrel and harp let them sing praises unto him.

Pujilah nama-Nya dengan tari-tarian, pujilah Dia dengan kecapi dan rebana!

4 For the Lord taketh pleasure in his people; he will adorn the meek with salvation.

TUHAN berkenan kepada umat-Nya; Ia memberi kemenangan kepada orang yang rendah hati.

5 Let the pious be joyful in glory: let them sing aloud upon their couches.

Biarlah umat Allah bersukaria karena kejayaan-Nya, dan menyanyi gembira sepanjang malam.

6 The exalted praises of God are in their mouth, and a two-edged sword is in their hand;

Biarlah mereka memuji Allah dengan suara lantang, sambil memegang pedang terasah

7 To execute vengeance on the nations, and chastisements on the people:

untuk membalas bangsa-bangsa, dan menghukum suku-suku bangsa;

8 To bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron:

untuk membelenggu raja-raja, dan merantai para penguasa mereka;

9 To execute upon them the judgment [which is] written: this is an honor for all his pious servants. Hallelujah.

untuk menghukum bangsa-bangsa atas perintah Allah. Itulah kemenangan umat yang dikasihi-Nya. Pujilah TUHAN!
