Psalms 149

1 Hallelujah. Sing unto the Lord a new song, his praise in the congregation of the pious.

Halelujah. Zpívejte Hospodinu píseň novou, chválu jeho v shromáždění svatých.

2 Let Israel rejoice in his Maker: let the children of Zion exult in their King.

Vesel se Izrael v tom, kterýž ho učinil, synové Sionští plésejte v králi svém.

3 Let them praise his name in the dance: with the timbrel and harp let them sing praises unto him.

Chvalte jméno jeho na píšťalu, na buben a na citaru prozpěvujte jemu.

4 For the Lord taketh pleasure in his people; he will adorn the meek with salvation.

Nebo zalíbilo se Hospodinu v lidu jeho; onť ozdobuje pokorné spasením.

5 Let the pious be joyful in glory: let them sing aloud upon their couches.

Plésati budou svatí v Boží slávě, a zpívati v pokojích svých.

6 The exalted praises of God are in their mouth, and a two-edged sword is in their hand;

Oslavování Boha silného bude ve rtech jejich, a meč na obě straně ostrý v rukou jejich,

7 To execute vengeance on the nations, and chastisements on the people:

K vykonávání pomsty nad pohany, a k strestání národů,

8 To bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron:

K svazování králů jejich řetězy, a šlechticů jejich pouty železnými,

9 To execute upon them the judgment [which is] written: this is an honor for all his pious servants. Hallelujah.

K nakládání s nimi podlé práva zapsaného, k slávě všechněm svatým jeho. Halelujah.
