Psalms 148
1 Hallelujah. Praise ye the Lord from the heavens: praise him in the heights.
Alleluia! Louez Yahweh du haut des cieux, louez-le dans les hauteurs!
2 Praise ye him, all his angels: praise ye him, all his hosts.
Louez-le, vous tous, ses anges; louez-le, vous toutes, ses armées!
3 Praise ye him, sun and moon: praise him, all ye stars of light.
Louez-le, soleil et lune; louez-le, vous toutes, étoiles brillantes!
4 Praise him, ye heavens of heavens, and ye waters that are above the heavens.
Louez-le, cieux des cieux, et vous, eaux, qui êtes au-dessus des cieux!
5 Let them praise the name of the Lord; for he commanded and they were created.
Qu’ils louent le nom de Yahweh; car il a commandé, et ils ont été créés.
6 And he established them for ever and to eternity: he gave a decree which none shall transgress.
Il les a établis pour toujours et à jamais; il a posé une loi qu’on ne transgressera pas.
7 Praise the Lord from the earth, ye sea-monsters, and all deeps;
De la terre, louez Yahweh, monstres marins, et vous tous, océans,
8 Fire, and hail, snow, and vapor; thou storm-wind that fulfillest his word;
feu et grêle, neige et vapeurs, vents impétueux, qui exécutez ses ordres,
9 Ye mountains, and all hills; fruitful trees, and all cedars;
montagnes, et vous toutes, collines, arbres fruitiers, et vous tous, cèdres.
10 Ye beasts, and all cattle; creeping things, and winged birds;
Animaux sauvages et troupeaux de toutes sortes, reptiles et oiseaux ailés,
11 Ye kings of the earth, and all nations; ye princes, and all judges of the earth;
rois de la terre et tous les peuples, princes, et vous tous, juges de la terre,
12 Young men and also virgins; old men, together with boys: —
jeunes hommes et jeunes vierges, vieillards et enfants.
13 Let them praise the name of the Lord; for his name alone is exalted; his majesty is above earth and heaven.
Qu’ils louent le nom de Yahweh, car son nom seul est grand, sa gloire est au-dessus du ciel et de la terre.
14 He also exalteth the horn of his people, a praise unto all his pious servants, [even] unto the children of Israel, a people near unto him. Hallelujah.
Il a relevé la puissance de son peuple, sujet de louange pour tous ses fidèles, pour les enfants d’Israël, le peuple qui est près de lui, Alleluia!
