Psalms 147
1 Hallelujah; for it is good to sing praises unto our God; for it is comely; [him] becometh praise.
ख़ुदावन्द की हम्द करो! क्यूँकि ख़ुदा की मदहसराई करना भला है; इसलिए कि यह दिलपसंद और सिताइश ज़ेबा है।
2 The Lord buildeth up Jerusalem: the outcasts of Israel will he gather together;
ख़ुदावन्द येरूशलेम को ता'मीर करता है; वह इस्राईल के जिला वतनों को जमा' करता है।
3 He that healeth the broken-hearted, and bindeth up their hurts;
वह शिकस्ता दिलों को शिफ़ा देता है, और उनके ज़ख़्म बाँधता है।
4 Who counteth the number of the stars; who calleth them all by [their] names.
वह सितारों को शुमार करता है, और उन सबके नाम रखता है।
5 Great is our Lord, and abundant in power: his understanding is immeasurable.
हमारा ख़ुदावन्द बुजु़र्ग और कु़दरत में 'अज़ीम है; उसके समझ की इन्तिहा नहीं।
6 The Lord helpeth up the meek: he bringeth down the wicked to the ground.
ख़ुदावन्द हलीमों को संभालता है, वह शरीरों को ख़ाक में मिला देता है।
7 Lift up a song unto the Lord with thanksgiving; sing praises unto our God with the harp;
ख़ुदावन्द के सामने शुक्रगुज़ारी का हम्द गाओ, सितार पर हमारे ख़ुदा की मदहसराई करो।
8 Who covereth the heaven with clouds, who prepareth rain for the earth, who causeth grass to grow upon the mountains;
जो आसमान को बादलों से मुलब्बस करता है; जो ज़मीन के लिए मेंह तैयार करता है; जो पहाड़ों पर घास उगाता है।
9 Who giveth to the beast its food, to the young ravens which cry.
जो हैवानात को ख़ुराक देता है, और कव्वे के बच्चे को जो काएँ काएँ करते हैं।
10 Not in the strength of the horse hath he delight: nor in the [swiftness of the] legs of man taketh he pleasure.
घोड़े के ज़ोर में उसकी खु़शनूदी नहीं न आदमी की टाँगों से उसे कोई ख़ुशी है;
11 The Lord taketh pleasure in those that fear him, that wait for his kindness.
ख़ुदावन्द उनसे ख़ुश है जो उससे डरते हैं, और उनसे जो उसकी शफ़क़त के उम्मीदवार हैं।
12 Glorify, O Jerusalem, the Lord: praise thy God, O Zion.
ऐ येरूशलेम! ख़ुदावन्द की सिताइश कर!, ऐ सिय्यून! अपने ख़ुदा की सिताइश कर।
13 For he hath strengthened the bars of thy gates; he hath blessed thy children in the midst of thee;
क्यूँकि उसने तेरे फाटकों के बेंडों को मज़बूत किया है, उसने तेरे अन्दर तेरी औलाद को बरकत दी है।
14 He who bestoweth peace in thy borders, who satisfieth thee with the best of wheat;
वह तेरी हद में अम्न रखता है! वह तुझे अच्छे से अच्छे गेहूँ से आसूदा करता है।
15 He who sendeth forth his decree unto the earth: how swiftly speedeth his word along!
वह अपना हुक्म ज़मीन पर भेजता है, उसका कलाम बहुत तेज़ रौ है।
16 He who dispenseth snow like wool; who streweth about the hoarfrost like ashes;
वह बर्फ़ को ऊन की तरह गिराता है, और पाले को राख की तरह बिखेरता है।
17 He who casteth down his ice like pieces: before his cold who can stand?
वह यख़ को लुक़मों की तरह फेंकता उसकी ठंड कौन सह सकता है?
18 He sendeth out his word, and melteth them: he causeth his wind to blow, and waters run along.
वह अपना कलाम नाज़िल करके उनको पिघला देता है; वह हवा चलाता है और पानी बहने लगता है।
19 He declareth his word unto Jacob, his statutes and his ordinances unto Israel.
वह अपना कलाम या'क़ूब पर ज़ाहिर करता है, और अपने आईन — ओ — अहकाम इस्राईल पर।
20 He hath not done so unto any nation: and [his] ordinances— these they know not. Hallelujah.
उसने किसी और क़ौम से ऐसा सुलूक नहीं किया; और उनके अहकाम को उन्होंने नहीं जाना। ख़ुदावन्द की हम्द करो!
