Psalms 146

1 Hallelujah. Praise, O my soul, the Lord.

Halleluja.

2 I will praise the Lord throughout my life: I will sing praises unto my God while I have any being.

Chwal, duszo moja! Pana. Chwalić będę Pana, pókim żyw; będę śpiewał Bogu memu, póki mię staje.

3 Put not your trust in princes, in the son of man, in whom there is no salvation.

Nie ufajcie w książętach, ani w żadnym synu ludzkim, w którym nie masz wybawienia.

4 When his spirit goeth forth, he returneth to his [native] earth: on that very day perish his thoughts.

Wynijdzie duch jego, i nawróci się do ziemi swojej; w onże dzień zginą wszystkie myśli jego.

5 [But] happy is he who hath the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is on the Lord his God;

Błogosławiony, którego Bóg Jakóbowy jest pomocnikiem, którego nadzieja jest w Panu, Bogu jego;

6 Who hath made heaven, and earth, the sea, and all that is therein; who keepeth truth for ever;

Który uczynił niebo, i ziemię, morze, i wszystko, co w nich jest, który przestrzega prawdy aż na wieki;

7 Who executeth justice for the oppressed: who giveth bread to the hungry: the Lord looseneth the prisoners;

Który czyni sprawiedliwość ukrzywdzonym, i daje chleb zgłodniałym; Pan rozwiązuje więźniów.

8 The Lord causeth the blind to see; the Lord raiseth up those who are bowed down; the Lord loveth the righteous:

Pan otwiera oczy ślepych; Pan podnosi upadłych; Pan miłuje sprawiedliwych.

9 The Lord guardeth the strangers; the fatherless and widow he helpeth up; but the way of the wicked he maketh crooked.

Pan strzeże przychodniów, sierotce i wdowie pomaga; ale drogę niepobożnych podwraca.

10 The Lord will reign for ever, even thy God, O Zion, unto all generations. Hallelujah.

Pan będzie królował na wieki; Bóg twój, o Syonie! od narodu do narodu. Halleluja.
