Psalms 145
1 “A hymn of praise by David.” I will extol thee, my God, O king; and I will bless thy name for ever and ever.
En lovsång av David. Jag vill upphöja dig, min Gud, du konung, och lova ditt namn alltid och evinnerligen.
2 Every day will I bless thee, and I will praise thy name for ever and ever.
Jag vill dagligen lova dig och prisa ditt namn alltid och evinnerligen.
3 Great is the Lord, and greatly praised, and his greatness is unsearchable.
Stor är HERREN och högtlovad, ja, hans storhet är outrannsaklig.
4 One generation shall praise thy works to the other, and thy mighty acts shall they declare.
Det ena släktet prisar för det andra dina verk, de förkunna dina väldiga gärningar.
5 On the majestic glory of thy excellence, and on thy wondrous deeds will I meditate.
Ditt majestäts härlighet och ära vill jag begrunda och dina underfulla verk.
6 And of the might of thy terrible acts shall men converse: and thy greatness will I relate.
Man skall tala om dina fruktansvärda gärningars makt; dina storverk skall jag förtälja.
7 The memorial of thy abundant goodness shall they loudly proclaim, and they shall sing joyfully of thy righteousness.
Man skall utbreda ryktet om din stora godhet och jubla över din rättfärdighet.
8 Gracious and merciful is the Lord, long-suffering, and great in kindness.
Nådig och barmhärtig är HERREN, långmodig och stor i mildhet.
9 The Lord is good to all, and his mercies are over all his works.
HERREN är god mot alla och förbarmar sig över alla sina verk.
10 All thy works shall thank thee, O Lord; and thy pious servants shall bless thee.
Alla dina verk, HERRE, skola tacka dig, och dina fromma skola lova dig.
11 Of the glory of thy kingdom shall they converse, and of thy might shall they speak:
De skola tala om ditt rikes ära, och din makt skola de förkunna.
12 To make known to the sons of men his mighty acts, and the glorious majesty of his kingdom.
Så skola de kungöra för människors barn dina väldiga gärningar och ditt rikes ära och härlighet.
13 Thy kingdom is a kingdom of all eternities, and thy dominion [subsisteth] throughout all generations.
Ditt rike är ett rike för alla evigheter, och ditt herradöme varar från släkte till släkte.
14 The Lord upholdeth all who are falling, and raiseth up all those who are bowed down.
HERREN uppehåller alla dem som äro på väg att falla, och han upprättar alla nedböjda.
15 The eyes of all wait hopefully upon thee, and thou givest them their food in its due season.
Allas ögon vänta efter dig, och du giver dem deras mat i rätt tid.
16 Thou openest thy hand, and satisfiest the desire of every living thing.
Du upplåter din hand och mättar allt levande med nåd.
17 Righteous is the Lord in all his ways, and beneficent in all his works.
HERREN är rättfärdig i alla sina vägar och nådig i alla sina verk.
18 The Lord is nigh unto all those who call on him, to all who call on him in truth.
HERREN är nära alla dem som åkalla honom, alla dem som åkalla honom uppriktigt.
19 The desire of those who fear him will he fulfill, and their cry will he hear, and save them.
Han gör vad de gudfruktiga begära och hör deras rop och frälsar dem.
20 The Lord preserveth all those who love him; but all the wicked will he destroy.
HERREN bevarar alla dem som älska honom, men alla ogudaktiga skall han förgöra.
21 The praise of the Lord shall my mouth speak: and let all flesh bless his holy name for ever and ever.
Min mun skall uttala HERREN lov, och allt kött skall prisa hans heliga namn alltid och evinnerligen.
