Psalms 145
1 “A hymn of praise by David.” I will extol thee, my God, O king; and I will bless thy name for ever and ever.
Ett lof Davids. Jag vill upphöja dig, min Gud, du Konung, och ditt Namn lofva alltid och förutan ända.
2 Every day will I bless thee, and I will praise thy name for ever and ever.
Jag vill dagliga lofva dig, och ditt Namn prisa alltid och förutan ända.
3 Great is the Lord, and greatly praised, and his greatness is unsearchable.
Herren är stor, och mycket loflig, och hans storhet är osägelig.
4 One generation shall praise thy works to the other, and thy mighty acts shall they declare.
Barnabarn skola prisa dina verk, och tala om ditt välde.
5 On the majestic glory of thy excellence, and on thy wondrous deeds will I meditate.
Jag vill tala om dina härliga stora äro, och om dina under;
6 And of the might of thy terrible acts shall men converse: and thy greatness will I relate.
Att man skall tala om dina härliga gerningar, och att man förtäljer dina härlighet;
7 The memorial of thy abundant goodness shall they loudly proclaim, and they shall sing joyfully of thy righteousness.
Att man skall prisa dina stora godhet, och lofva dina rättfärdighet.
8 Gracious and merciful is the Lord, long-suffering, and great in kindness.
Nådelig och barmhertig är Herren, tålig och af stor godhet.
9 The Lord is good to all, and his mercies are over all his works.
Herren är allom god, och förbarmar sig öfver all sin verk.
10 All thy works shall thank thee, O Lord; and thy pious servants shall bless thee.
All din verk, Herre, skola tacka dig, och dine helige lofva dig;
11 Of the glory of thy kingdom shall they converse, and of thy might shall they speak:
Och prisa dins rikes äro, och tala om ditt välde;
12 To make known to the sons of men his mighty acts, and the glorious majesty of his kingdom.
Att ditt välde må menniskors barnom kunnogt varda, och dins rikes härliga majestät.
13 Thy kingdom is a kingdom of all eternities, and thy dominion [subsisteth] throughout all generations.
Ditt rike är ett evigt rike, och ditt herradöme varar förutan ända.
14 The Lord upholdeth all who are falling, and raiseth up all those who are bowed down.
Herren uppehåller alla de som falla, och uppreser alla de som nederslagne äro.
15 The eyes of all wait hopefully upon thee, and thou givest them their food in its due season.
Allas ögon vänta efter dig, och du gifver dem sin spis i sinom tid.
16 Thou openest thy hand, and satisfiest the desire of every living thing.
Du upplåter dina hand, och uppfyller allt det som lefver med behag.
17 Righteous is the Lord in all his ways, and beneficent in all his works.
Herren är rättfärdig i alla sina vägar, och helig i alla sina gerningar.
18 The Lord is nigh unto all those who call on him, to all who call on him in truth.
Herren är när allom dem som åkalla honom, allom dem som med allvar åkalla honom.
19 The desire of those who fear him will he fulfill, and their cry will he hear, and save them.
Han gör hvad de gudfruktige begära, och hörer deras rop, och hjelper dem.
20 The Lord preserveth all those who love him; but all the wicked will he destroy.
Herren bevarar alla de honom älska, och skall förgöra alla ogudaktiga.
21 The praise of the Lord shall my mouth speak: and let all flesh bless his holy name for ever and ever.
Min mun skall säga Herrans lof; allt kött lofve hans helga Namn alltid, och förutan ända!
