Psalms 145
1 “A hymn of praise by David.” I will extol thee, my God, O king; and I will bless thy name for ever and ever.
Hvala Davidova. Poviševal te bodem, Bog moj, kralj; in blagoslavljal bodem ime tvoje vekomaj in vekomaj.
2 Every day will I bless thee, and I will praise thy name for ever and ever.

3 Great is the Lord, and greatly praised, and his greatness is unsearchable.

4 One generation shall praise thy works to the other, and thy mighty acts shall they declare.

5 On the majestic glory of thy excellence, and on thy wondrous deeds will I meditate.

6 And of the might of thy terrible acts shall men converse: and thy greatness will I relate.
In moč čudovitih dél tvojih naj slavé; in posamezna velika dela tvoja bodem pripovedoval.
7 The memorial of thy abundant goodness shall they loudly proclaim, and they shall sing joyfully of thy righteousness.
Spomin obile dobrote tvoje naj vrè iz njih; pravico tvojo naj pojó.
8 Gracious and merciful is the Lord, long-suffering, and great in kindness.
Milosten in usmiljen je Gospod; potrpežljiv in velik v milosti.
9 The Lord is good to all, and his mercies are over all his works.
Dober je Gospod vsem; in usmiljenje njegovo v vseh delih njegovih.
10 All thy works shall thank thee, O Lord; and thy pious servants shall bless thee.
Slavé te naj, Gospod, vsa dela tvoja; in blagoslavljajo te naj, katerim milost izkazuješ.
11 Of the glory of thy kingdom shall they converse, and of thy might shall they speak:
Slavo kraljestva tvojega naj slavé, in naznanjajo mogočnost tvojo.
12 To make known to the sons of men his mighty acts, and the glorious majesty of his kingdom.
Da sinom človeškim oznanjajo mogočnost njegovo, in slavo in lepoto njegovega kraljestva.
13 Thy kingdom is a kingdom of all eternities, and thy dominion [subsisteth] throughout all generations.
Kraljestvo tvoje je vseh vekov kraljestvo, in gospostvo tvoje od roda do roda.
14 The Lord upholdeth all who are falling, and raiseth up all those who are bowed down.
Gospod podpira vse padajoče, in kvišku pomaga vsem omahujočim.
15 The eyes of all wait hopefully upon thee, and thou givest them their food in its due season.
Vseh oči gledajo v té; ti jim daješ jedi o svojem času.
16 Thou openest thy hand, and satisfiest the desire of every living thing.
Roko svojo odpreš in nasitiš karkoli živi, po volji.
17 Righteous is the Lord in all his ways, and beneficent in all his works.
Pravičen je Gospod po vseh potih svojih, in dobrotljiv v vseh svojih delih.
18 The Lord is nigh unto all those who call on him, to all who call on him in truth.
Blizu je Gospod vsem, ki ga kličejo; vsem, kateri ga kličejo v zvestobi.
19 The desire of those who fear him will he fulfill, and their cry will he hear, and save them.
Voljo spolnjuje boječim se njega; vpitje njih sliši in daje jim blaginjo.
20 The Lord preserveth all those who love him; but all the wicked will he destroy.
Gospod hrani vse, kateri ga ljubijo; vse hudobne pa pogublja.
21 The praise of the Lord shall my mouth speak: and let all flesh bless his holy name for ever and ever.
Hvalo Gospodovo naj govoré usta moja; in vse meso naj blagoslavlja sveto ime njegovo, vekomaj in vekomaj.
