Psalms 145
1 “A hymn of praise by David.” I will extol thee, my God, O king; and I will bless thy name for ever and ever.
Salmo di lode. Di Davide. Io t’esalterò, o mio Dio, mio Re, benedirò il tuo nome in sempiterno.
2 Every day will I bless thee, and I will praise thy name for ever and ever.
Ogni giorno ti benedirò e loderò il tuo nome in sempiterno.
3 Great is the Lord, and greatly praised, and his greatness is unsearchable.
L’Eterno è grande e degno di somma lode, e la sua grandezza non si può investigare.
4 One generation shall praise thy works to the other, and thy mighty acts shall they declare.
Un’età dirà all’altra le lodi delle tue opere, e farà conoscer le tue gesta.
5 On the majestic glory of thy excellence, and on thy wondrous deeds will I meditate.
Io mediterò sul glorioso splendore della tua maestà e sulle tue opere maravigliose.
6 And of the might of thy terrible acts shall men converse: and thy greatness will I relate.
E gli uomini diranno la potenza dei tuoi atti tremendi, e io racconterò la tua grandezza.
7 The memorial of thy abundant goodness shall they loudly proclaim, and they shall sing joyfully of thy righteousness.
Essi proclameranno il ricordo della tua gran bontà, e canteranno con giubilo la tua giustizia.
8 Gracious and merciful is the Lord, long-suffering, and great in kindness.
L’Eterno è misericordioso e pieno di compassione, lento all’ira e di gran benignità.
9 The Lord is good to all, and his mercies are over all his works.
L’Eterno è buono verso tutti, e le sue compassioni s’estendono a tutte le sue opere.
10 All thy works shall thank thee, O Lord; and thy pious servants shall bless thee.
Tutte le tue opere ti celebreranno, o Eterno, e i tuoi fedeli ti benediranno.
11 Of the glory of thy kingdom shall they converse, and of thy might shall they speak:
Diranno la gloria del tuo regno, e narreranno la tua potenza
12 To make known to the sons of men his mighty acts, and the glorious majesty of his kingdom.
per far note ai figliuoli degli uomini le tue gesta e la gloria della maestà del tuo regno.
13 Thy kingdom is a kingdom of all eternities, and thy dominion [subsisteth] throughout all generations.
Il tuo regno è un regno eterno, e la tua signoria dura per ogni età.
14 The Lord upholdeth all who are falling, and raiseth up all those who are bowed down.
L’Eterno sostiene tutti quelli che cadono e rialza tutti quelli che son depressi.
15 The eyes of all wait hopefully upon thee, and thou givest them their food in its due season.
Gli occhi di tutti sono intenti verso di te, e tu dài loro il loro cibo a suo tempo.
16 Thou openest thy hand, and satisfiest the desire of every living thing.
Tu apri la tua mano, e sazi il desiderio di tutto ciò che vive.
17 Righteous is the Lord in all his ways, and beneficent in all his works.
L’Eterno è giusto in tutte le sue vie e benigno in tutte le sue opere.
18 The Lord is nigh unto all those who call on him, to all who call on him in truth.
L’Eterno è presso a tutti quelli che lo invocano, a tutti quelli che lo invocano in verità.
19 The desire of those who fear him will he fulfill, and their cry will he hear, and save them.
Egli adempie il desiderio di quelli che lo temono, ode il loro grido, e li salva.
20 The Lord preserveth all those who love him; but all the wicked will he destroy.
L’Eterno guarda tutti quelli che l’amano, ma distruggerà tutti gli empi.
21 The praise of the Lord shall my mouth speak: and let all flesh bless his holy name for ever and ever.
La mia bocca proclamerà la lode dell’Eterno, e ogni carne benedirà il nome della sua santità, in sempiterno.
