Psalms 145
1 “A hymn of praise by David.” I will extol thee, my God, O king; and I will bless thy name for ever and ever.
| תהלה לדוד ארוממך אלוהי המלך ואברכה שמך לעולם ועד׃ |
2 Every day will I bless thee, and I will praise thy name for ever and ever.
| בכל יום אברכך ואהללה שמך לעולם ועד׃ |
3 Great is the Lord, and greatly praised, and his greatness is unsearchable.
| גדול יהוה ומהלל מאד ולגדלתו אין חקר׃ |
4 One generation shall praise thy works to the other, and thy mighty acts shall they declare.
| דור לדור ישבח מעשיך וגבורתיך יגידו׃ |
5 On the majestic glory of thy excellence, and on thy wondrous deeds will I meditate.
| הדר כבוד הודך ודברי נפלאותיך אשיחה׃ |
6 And of the might of thy terrible acts shall men converse: and thy greatness will I relate.
| ועזוז נוראתיך יאמרו וגדולתיך אספרנה׃ |
7 The memorial of thy abundant goodness shall they loudly proclaim, and they shall sing joyfully of thy righteousness.
| זכר רב טובך יביעו וצדקתך ירננו׃ |
8 Gracious and merciful is the Lord, long-suffering, and great in kindness.
| חנון ורחום יהוה ארך אפים וגדל חסד׃ |
9 The Lord is good to all, and his mercies are over all his works.
| טוב יהוה לכל ורחמיו על כל מעשיו׃ |
10 All thy works shall thank thee, O Lord; and thy pious servants shall bless thee.
| יודוך יהוה כל מעשיך וחסידיך יברכוכה׃ |
11 Of the glory of thy kingdom shall they converse, and of thy might shall they speak:
| כבוד מלכותך יאמרו וגבורתך ידברו׃ |
12 To make known to the sons of men his mighty acts, and the glorious majesty of his kingdom.
| להודיע לבני האדם גבורתיו וכבוד הדר מלכותו׃ |
13 Thy kingdom is a kingdom of all eternities, and thy dominion [subsisteth] throughout all generations.
| מלכותך מלכות כל עלמים וממשלתך בכל דור ודור׃ |
14 The Lord upholdeth all who are falling, and raiseth up all those who are bowed down.
| סומך יהוה לכל הנפלים וזוקף לכל הכפופים׃ |
15 The eyes of all wait hopefully upon thee, and thou givest them their food in its due season.
| עיני כל אליך ישברו ואתה נותן להם את אכלם בעתו׃ |
16 Thou openest thy hand, and satisfiest the desire of every living thing.
| פותח את ידך ומשביע לכל חי רצון׃ |
17 Righteous is the Lord in all his ways, and beneficent in all his works.
| צדיק יהוה בכל דרכיו וחסיד בכל מעשיו׃ |
18 The Lord is nigh unto all those who call on him, to all who call on him in truth.
| קרוב יהוה לכל קראיו לכל אשר יקראהו באמת׃ |
19 The desire of those who fear him will he fulfill, and their cry will he hear, and save them.
| רצון יראיו יעשה ואת שועתם ישמע ויושיעם׃ |
20 The Lord preserveth all those who love him; but all the wicked will he destroy.
| שומר יהוה את כל אהביו ואת כל הרשעים ישמיד׃ |
21 The praise of the Lord shall my mouth speak: and let all flesh bless his holy name for ever and ever.
| תהלת יהוה ידבר פי ויברך כל בשר שם קדשו לעולם ועד׃ |
