Psalms 145
1 “A hymn of praise by David.” I will extol thee, my God, O king; and I will bless thy name for ever and ever.
Ein Loblied von David. Ich will dich erheben, mein Gott, du König,
2 Every day will I bless thee, and I will praise thy name for ever and ever.
An jedem Tage will ich dich preisen und deinen Namen rühmen immer und ewig!
3 Great is the Lord, and greatly praised, and his greatness is unsearchable.
Groß ist der HERR und hoch zu rühmen, und seine Größe ist unausforschlich.
4 One generation shall praise thy works to the other, and thy mighty acts shall they declare.
Ein Geschlecht wird dem andern rühmen deine Werke und kundtun deine gewaltigen Taten.
5 On the majestic glory of thy excellence, and on thy wondrous deeds will I meditate.
Von der herrlichen Pracht deiner Hoheit will ich reden, und von deinen Wundertaten (will ich singen).
6 And of the might of thy terrible acts shall men converse: and thy greatness will I relate.
Von der Macht deines furchtbaren Waltens wird man reden, und deine Größe – davon will ich erzählen!
7 The memorial of thy abundant goodness shall they loudly proclaim, and they shall sing joyfully of thy righteousness.
Den Ruhm deiner reichen Güte wird man verkünden und jubelnd preisen deine Gerechtigkeit.
8 Gracious and merciful is the Lord, long-suffering, and great in kindness.
Gnädig und barmherzig ist der HERR, langmütig und reich an Güte.
9 The Lord is good to all, and his mercies are over all his works.
Der HERR ist gütig gegen alle, und sein Erbarmen umfaßt alle seine Werke.
10 All thy works shall thank thee, O Lord; and thy pious servants shall bless thee.
Alle deine Werke werden dich loben, HERR, und deine Frommen dich preisen;
11 Of the glory of thy kingdom shall they converse, and of thy might shall they speak:
die Herrlichkeit deines Königtums werden sie rühmen und reden von deiner Macht,
12 To make known to the sons of men his mighty acts, and the glorious majesty of his kingdom.
um den Menschenkindern kundzutun seine mächtigen Taten und die herrliche Pracht seines Königtums.
13 Thy kingdom is a kingdom of all eternities, and thy dominion [subsisteth] throughout all generations.
Dein Reich ist ein Reich für alle Ewigkeiten, und deine Herrschaft besteht durch alle Geschlechter. Getreu ist der HERR in seinen Worten und heilig in all seinem Tun.
14 The Lord upholdeth all who are falling, and raiseth up all those who are bowed down.
Der HERR stützt alle Fallenden und richtet alle Gebeugten auf.
15 The eyes of all wait hopefully upon thee, and thou givest them their food in its due season.
Aller Augen warten auf dich, und du gibst ihnen ihre Speise zu seiner Zeit;
16 Thou openest thy hand, and satisfiest the desire of every living thing.
du tust deine Hand auf und sättigst alles, was lebt, mit Wohlgefallen.
17 Righteous is the Lord in all his ways, and beneficent in all his works.
Gerecht ist der HERR in all seinem Walten und liebreich in all seinem Tun.
18 The Lord is nigh unto all those who call on him, to all who call on him in truth.
Der HERR ist nahe allen, die ihn anrufen, allen, die ihn in Treue anrufen;
19 The desire of those who fear him will he fulfill, and their cry will he hear, and save them.
er erfüllt das Begehren derer, die ihn fürchten, er hört ihr Schreien und hilft ihnen.
20 The Lord preserveth all those who love him; but all the wicked will he destroy.
Der HERR behütet alle, die ihn lieben, doch alle Frevler rottet er aus.
21 The praise of the Lord shall my mouth speak: and let all flesh bless his holy name for ever and ever.
Mein Mund soll verkünden den Lobpreis des HERRN, und alles Fleisch soll preisen seinen heiligen Namen immer und ewig!
