< Psalms 144 >
1 “By David.” Blessed be the Lord my Rock, who exerciseth my hands for the battle, my fingers for the war:
Of David - [be] blessed Yahweh - rock my who trains hands my for war fingers my for battle.
2 My kindness, and my strong-hold; my high tower, and my deliverer; my shield, and he in whom I trust; who subdueth my people under me.
Covenant loyalty my and stronghold my refuge my and deliverer my to me shield my and in him I take refuge the [one who] subdues people my under me.
3 Lord, what is man, that thou takest cognizance of him: the son of a mortal, that thou regardest him!
O Yahweh what? [is] humankind and you have considered him a child of humankind and you have regarded him.
4 Man is like the breath: his days are like a passing shadow.
Humankind to breath he is like days his [are] like a shadow passing.
5 O Lord, bend thy heavens, and come down: touch the mountains, that they may smoke.
O Yahweh bend down heavens your so you may come down touch the mountains so they may smoke.
6 Cast forth lightning, and scatter them: send out thy arrows, and confound them.
Flash lightning and you will scatter them send arrows your and you will rout them.
7 Stretch out thy hands from above; rid me, and deliver me out of great waters, from the hand of the children of the stranger.
Stretch out hands your from a high place set free me and deliver me from waters many from [the] hand of sons of foreignness.
8 Whose mouth speaketh vanity, and whose right hand is the right hand of falsehood.
Who mouth their it speaks falsehood and right [hand] their [is] a right [hand] of deception.
9 O God, a new song will I sing unto thee: upon the ten-stringed psaltery will I sing praises unto thee.
O God a song new I will sing to you with a lyre of ten I will make music to you.
10 [Thou art he] that giveth victory unto kings: who riddeth David his servant from the evil-bringing sword.
Who gives deliverance to kings who sets free David servant his from a sword evil.
11 Rid me, and deliver me from the hand of the children of the stranger, whose mouth speaketh vanity, and whose right hand is the right hand of falsehood.
Set free me and deliver me from [the] hand of sons of foreignness who mouth their it speaks falsehood and right [hand] their [is] a right [hand] of deception.
12 So that our sons may be like plants, grown up in their youth: our daughters, like corner-pillars, sculptured in the model of a palace.
Who sons our - [will be] like plants full grown in youth their daughters our [will be] like corners carved [the] structure of a palace.
13 May our garners be full, furnishing all manner of store: our sheep bringing forth thousands and ten thousands in our open pastures.
Granaries our [will be] full providing from kind to kind flocks our [will be] producing thousands producing ten thousands in open places our.
14 May our oxen be strong to labor: may there be no breach, nor migration, nor loud complaint in our streets.
Cattle[s] our [will be] loaded there not [will be] a breach and there not [will be] abortion and there not [will be] an outcry in open places our.
15 Happy the people, that fare thus: happy the people, whose God is the Lord.
How blessed! [is] the people that thus for it how blessed! [is] the people that Yahweh [is] God its.
