Psalms 14

1 “To the chief musician, by David.” The worthless fool saith in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they are abominable [in their] doings, there is none that doth good.

೧ಪ್ರಧಾನಗಾಯಕನ ಕೀರ್ತನ ಸಂಗ್ರಹದಿಂದ ಆರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡದ್ದು; ದಾವೀದನದು. ದುರ್ಮತಿಗಳು ತಮ್ಮ ಮನಸ್ಸಿನಲ್ಲಿ, “ದೇವರೇ ಇಲ್ಲ” ಎಂದು ಅಂದುಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾರೆ; ಅವರು ಕೆಟ್ಟುಹೋದವರು; ಹೇಯವಾದ ಅಕ್ರಮಗಳನ್ನು ನಡೆಸುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದನ್ನು ಮಾಡುವವರೇ ಇಲ್ಲ.

2 The Lord looketh down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there be one intelligent, one who seeketh for God.

೨ಮನುಷ್ಯರಲ್ಲಿ ತನ್ನ ಸಾನ್ನಿಧ್ಯವನ್ನು ಅಪೇಕ್ಷಿಸುವ ಬುದ್ಧಿವಂತರು ಇದ್ದಾರೋ, ಎಂದು ಯೆಹೋವನು ಆಕಾಶದಿಂದ ಮನುಷ್ಯರನ್ನು ನೋಡಲಾಗಿ,

3 They are all gone aside, they are altogether become corrupt: there is none that doth good, no, not even one.

೩ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದನ್ನು ಮಾಡುವವನು ಇಲ್ಲ, ಒಬ್ಬನಾದರೂ ಇಲ್ಲ. ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬನೂ ದಾರಿತಪ್ಪಿದವನು, ಎಲ್ಲರೂ ಕೆಟ್ಟು ಹೋದವರೇ.

4 Is there no knowledge in all the workers of wickedness? who eat up my people as they eat bread; [while] they do not call on the Lord.

೪ದುಷ್ಟತ್ವವನ್ನು ನಡೆಸುವವರೆಲ್ಲರು ತಿಳಿಯುವುದಿಲ್ಲವೋ? ಅವರು ನನ್ನ ಜನರನ್ನು ಆಹಾರವನ್ನೋ ಎಂಬಂತೆ ನುಂಗಿಬಿಡುತ್ತಾರೆ; ಯೆಹೋವನನ್ನು ಸ್ಮರಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.

5 There are they terrified in terror; for God is with the righteous generation:

೫ಅವರು ಫಕ್ಕನೆ ಭಯಭ್ರಾಂತರಾಗುವರು; ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ದೇವರು ನೀತಿವಂತರ ಪಕ್ಷದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದಾನೆ.

6 The counsel of the poor [though] you put to shame; because the Lord is his protection.

೬ನೀವು ಕುಗ್ಗಿದವರ ಸಂಕಲ್ಪವನ್ನು ಭಂಗಪಡಿಸಿದರೂ ಯೆಹೋವನು ಅವರ ಆಶ್ರಯವಲ್ಲವೇ.

7 Oh that some one might bring the salvation of Israel out of Zion! When the Lord bringeth back the captivity of his people, then will Jacob be glad, and Israel will rejoice.

೭ಚೀಯೋನಿನಿಂದ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರಿಗೆ ರಕ್ಷಣೆಯು ಬೇಗನೆ ಬರಲಿ. ಯೆಹೋವನು ತನ್ನ ಜನರನ್ನು ದುರವಸ್ಥೆಯಿಂದ ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿದಾಗ, ಆತನ ಪ್ರಜೆಗಳಾಗಿರುವ ಯಾಕೋಬವಂಶದವರು ಉಲ್ಲಾಸಗೊಳ್ಳುವರು, ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರು ಹರ್ಷಿಸುವರು.
