Psalms 136
1 O give thanks unto the Lord; for he is good; for to eternity endureth his kindness.
| הודו ליהוה כי-טוב כי לעולם חסדו |
2 O give thanks unto the God of gods; for to eternity endureth his kindness.
| הודו לאלהי האלהים כי לעולם חסדו |
3 O give thanks to the Lord of lords; for to eternity endureth his kindness.
| הודו לאדני האדנים כי לעולם חסדו |
4 To him who doth great wonders alone; for to eternity endureth his kindness.
| לעשה נפלאות גדלות לבדו כי לעולם חסדו |
5 To him that made the heavens with understanding; for to eternity endureth his kindness.
| לעשה השמים בתבונה כי לעולם חסדו |
6 To him that stretched out the earth above the waters; for to eternity endureth his kindness.
| לרקע הארץ על-המים כי לעולם חסדו |
7 To him that made great lights; for to eternity endureth his kindness;
| לעשה אורים גדלים כי לעולם חסדו |
8 The sun for the rule by day; for to eternity endureth his kindness;
| את-השמש לממשלת ביום כי לעולם חסדו |
9 The moon and stars for the rule by night; for to eternity endureth his kindness.
| את-הירח וכוכבים לממשלות בלילה כי לעולם חסדו |
10 To him that smote Egypt in their first-born; for to eternity endureth his kindness;
| למכה מצרים בבכוריהם כי לעולם חסדו |
11 And brought out Israel from the midst of them; for to eternity endureth his kindness;
| ויוצא ישראל מתוכם כי לעולם חסדו |
12 With a strong hand, and with an outstretched arm; for to eternity endureth his kindness.
| ביד חזקה ובזרוע נטויה כי לעולם חסדו |
13 To him who divided the Red Sea into parts; for to eternity endureth his kindness;
| לגזר ים-סוף לגזרים כי לעולם חסדו |
14 And caused Israel to pass through the midst of it; for to eternity endureth his kindness;
| והעביר ישראל בתוכו כי לעולם חסדו |
15 But overthrew Pharaoh and his host in the Red Sea; for to eternity endureth his kindness.
| ונער פרעה וחילו בים-סוף כי לעולם חסדו |
16 To him who led his people through the wilderness; for to eternity endureth his kindness.
| למוליך עמו במדבר כי לעולם חסדו |
17 To him who smote great kings; for to eternity endureth his kindness;
| למכה מלכים גדלים כי לעולם חסדו |
18 And slew mighty kings; for to eternity endureth his kindness.
| ויהרג מלכים אדירים כי לעולם חסדו |
19 Even Sichon the king of the Emorites; for to eternity endureth his kindness;
| לסיחון מלך האמרי כי לעולם חסדו |
20 And 'Og the king of Bashan; for to eternity endureth his kindness;
| ולעוג מלך הבשן כי לעולם חסדו |
21 And gave their land as an inheritance; for to eternity endureth his kindness;
| ונתן ארצם לנחלה כי לעולם חסדו |
22 As an inheritance unto Israel his servant; for to eternity endureth his kindness;
| נחלה לישראל עבדו כי לעולם חסדו |
23 Who hath in our low estate remembered us; for to eternity endureth his kindness;
| שבשפלנו זכר לנו כי לעולם חסדו |
24 And hath freed us from our assailants; for to eternity endureth his kindness;
| ויפרקנו מצרינו כי לעולם חסדו |
25 Who giveth food unto all flesh; for to eternity endureth his kindness.
| נתן לחם לכל-בשר כי לעולם חסדו |
26 O give thanks unto the God of the heavens; for to eternity endureth his kindness.
| הודו לאל השמים כי לעולם חסדו |
