Psalms 135
1 Hallelujah. Praise ye the name of the Lord; praise him, O ye servants of the Lord;
| הללו יה הללו את שם יהוה הללו עבדי יהוה׃ |
2 Ye that stand in the house of the Lord, in the courts of the house of our God.
| שעמדים בבית יהוה בחצרות בית אלהינו׃ |
3 Hallelujah; for the Lord is good: sing praises unto his name; for it is lovely.
| הללו יה כי טוב יהוה זמרו לשמו כי נעים׃ |
4 For Jacob hath the Lord chosen unto himself, Israel, as his peculiar treasure.
| כי יעקב בחר לו יה ישראל לסגלתו׃ |
5 For I well know that the Lord is great, and that our Lord is above all gods.
| כי אני ידעתי כי גדול יהוה ואדנינו מכל אלהים׃ |
6 Whatsoever the Lord willeth, hath he done in the heavens, and on the earth, in the seas, and in all the deeps.
| כל אשר חפץ יהוה עשה בשמים ובארץ בימים וכל תהומות׃ |
7 He causeth clouds to ascend from the ends of the earth; he maketh lightnings with the rain; he bringeth forth the wind out of his treasuries.
| מעלה נשאים מקצה הארץ ברקים למטר עשה מוצא רוח מאוצרותיו׃ |
8 [He it is] who smote the first-born of Egypt, both of man and of cattle;
| שהכה בכורי מצרים מאדם עד בהמה׃ |
9 Who sent signs and wonderful tokens into the midst of thee, O Egypt, against Pharaoh, and against all his servants;
| שלח אתות ומפתים בתוככי מצרים בפרעה ובכל עבדיו׃ |
10 Who smote many nations, and slew mighty kings;
| שהכה גוים רבים והרג מלכים עצומים׃ |
11 Sichon the king of the Emorites, and 'Og the king of Bashan, and all the kingdoms of Canaan;
| לסיחון מלך האמרי ולעוג מלך הבשן ולכל ממלכות כנען׃ |
12 And gave their land as an inheritance, an inheritance unto Israel his people.
| ונתן ארצם נחלה נחלה לישראל עמו׃ |
13 O Lord, thy name [endureth] for ever: O Lord, thy memorial is throughout all generations.
| יהוה שמך לעולם יהוה זכרך לדר ודר׃ |
14 For the Lord will espouse the cause of his people, and concerning his servants will he bethink himself.
| כי ידין יהוה עמו ועל עבדיו יתנחם׃ |
15 The idols of the nations are silver and gold, the work of the hands of men.
| עצבי הגוים כסף וזהב מעשה ידי אדם׃ |
16 Mouths they have, but they speak not; eyes they have, but they see not;
| פה להם ולא ידברו עינים להם ולא יראו׃ |
17 Ears they have, but they hear not; neither is there any breath in their mouth.
| אזנים להם ולא יאזינו אף אין יש רוח בפיהם׃ |
18 Like them are those that make them, every one that trusteth in them.
| כמוהם יהיו עשיהם כל אשר בטח בהם׃ |
19 O house of Israel, bless ye the Lord; O house of Aaron, bless ye the Lord.
| בית ישראל ברכו את יהוה בית אהרן ברכו את יהוה׃ |
20 O house of Levi, bless ye the Lord; ye that fear the Lord, bless the Lord.
| בית הלוי ברכו את יהוה יראי יהוה ברכו את יהוה׃ |
21 Blessed be the Lord out of Zion, even he that resideth at Jerusalem. Hallelujah.
| ברוך יהוה מציון שכן ירושלם הללו יה׃ |
