Psalms 135
1 Hallelujah. Praise ye the name of the Lord; praise him, O ye servants of the Lord;
Hallelujah! Lobet den Namen Jehovahs, lobet, ihr Knechte Jehovahs!
2 Ye that stand in the house of the Lord, in the courts of the house of our God.
Ihr, die ihr steht in dem Hause Jehovahs, in den Höfen des Hauses unseres Gottes:
3 Hallelujah; for the Lord is good: sing praises unto his name; for it is lovely.
Hallelujah; denn gut ist Jehovah. Singt Psalmen Seinem Namen; denn lieblich ist Er.
4 For Jacob hath the Lord chosen unto himself, Israel, as his peculiar treasure.
Denn Jakob hat Jah Sich erwählt, Israel zu Seinem besonderen Eigentum.
5 For I well know that the Lord is great, and that our Lord is above all gods.
Denn ich weiß, daß groß ist Jehovah, und unser Herr vor allen Göttern;
6 Whatsoever the Lord willeth, hath he done in the heavens, and on the earth, in the seas, and in all the deeps.
Alles, wozu Jehovah Lust hat, tut Er im Himmel und auf Erden, im Meer und allen Abgründen.
7 He causeth clouds to ascend from the ends of the earth; he maketh lightnings with the rain; he bringeth forth the wind out of his treasuries.
Er führt Dünste herauf vom Ende der Erde, macht Blitze zu Regen, bringt den Wind heraus aus Seinen Schätzen.
8 [He it is] who smote the first-born of Egypt, both of man and of cattle;
Der die Erstgeborenen Ägyptens schlug vom Menschen bis zum Vieh;
9 Who sent signs and wonderful tokens into the midst of thee, O Egypt, against Pharaoh, and against all his servants;
Er sandte Zeichen und Wahrzeichen, in deine Mitte Ägypten, wider Pharao und wider alle seine Knechte.
10 Who smote many nations, and slew mighty kings;
Der viele Völkerschaften hat geschlagen und mächtige Könige erwürgte.
11 Sichon the king of the Emorites, and 'Og the king of Bashan, and all the kingdoms of Canaan;
Sichon, den König der Amoriter, und Og, den König Baschans, und alle Königreiche Kanaans.
12 And gave their land as an inheritance, an inheritance unto Israel his people.
Und Der ihr Land zum Erbe hat gegeben, zum Erbe Israel, Seinem Volke.
13 O Lord, thy name [endureth] for ever: O Lord, thy memorial is throughout all generations.
Jehovah, Dein Name ist ewig, Jehovah, Dein Gedächtnis zu Geschlecht und Geschlecht.
14 For the Lord will espouse the cause of his people, and concerning his servants will he bethink himself.
Denn Recht wird sprechen Seinem Volk Jehovah, und es wird Ihn gereuen wegen Seiner Knechte.
15 The idols of the nations are silver and gold, the work of the hands of men.
Die Götzen der Völkerschaften sind Silber und Gold, sie sind gemacht von den Händen des Menschen.
16 Mouths they have, but they speak not; eyes they have, but they see not;
Einen Mund haben sie und reden nicht; Augen haben sie und sehen nicht.
17 Ears they have, but they hear not; neither is there any breath in their mouth.
Sie haben Ohren und nehmen nicht zu Ohren, auch ist in ihrem Mund kein Hauch.
18 Like them are those that make them, every one that trusteth in them.
Wie sie werden sein, die sie machen, ein jeder, der auf sie vertraut.
19 O house of Israel, bless ye the Lord; O house of Aaron, bless ye the Lord.
O Haus Israel, segnet Jehovah; o Haus Aharons, segnet Jehovah!
20 O house of Levi, bless ye the Lord; ye that fear the Lord, bless the Lord.
O Haus Levi, segnet Jehovah; die ihr Jehovah fürchtet, segnet Jehovah!
21 Blessed be the Lord out of Zion, even he that resideth at Jerusalem. Hallelujah.
Gesegnet sei Jehovah aus Zion, Er, Der in Jerusalem wohnt. Hallelujah!
