< Psalms 131 >
1 “A song of the degrees by David.” O Lord, my heart was not haughty, nor were my eyes lofty: neither have I walked after matters too great, or those too wonderful for me.
2 Surely I have pacified and stilled my soul, like the suckling on its mother's breast: like a suckling is in me my soul.
Mwen rete tou dousman, byen trankil tankou yon timoun sevre ki rete byen dousman sou janm manman l'. Wi, tankou yon timoun sevre, se konsa mwen rete dousman.
3 Let Israel wait for the Lord from this time forth and for ever more.
Nou menm pèp Izrayèl, mete tout espwa nou nan Seyè a, depi koulye a ak pou tout tan.
