< Psalms 131 >
1 “A song of the degrees by David.” O Lord, my heart was not haughty, nor were my eyes lofty: neither have I walked after matters too great, or those too wonderful for me.
Wer ma ji wero kadhi e hekalu. Mar Daudi. Ngʼayi onge e chunya, yaye Jehova Nyasaye, wangʼa bende ok tek; chunya ok chandre gi gik madongo, kata gi weche matek modhiera ngʼeyo.
2 Surely I have pacified and stilled my soul, like the suckling on its mother's breast: like a suckling is in me my soul.
To abet mos kendo chunya okwe; mana ka nyathi ma pod dhoth molingʼ mos e bad min, ee, kaka nyathi ma kamano lingʼ mos, e kaka chunya bende olingʼ mos e iya.
3 Let Israel wait for the Lord from this time forth and for ever more.
Yaye Israel, keturu genou kuom Jehova Nyasaye chakre tinende kendo nyaka chiengʼ.
