< Psalms 127 >
1 “A song of the degrees for Solomon.” Unless the Lord do build the house, in vain labor they that build on it: unless the Lord guard the city, in vain is the watchman wakeful.
Solomon ih kasang laa. Angraeng mah im sah ai nahaeloe, imsahkungnawk loe azom pui ah ni toksak o; Angraeng mah vangpui to toep ai nahaeloe, toepkungnawk loe azom pui ah ni toep o.
2 It is in vain for you to be early in rising, to be late in sitting up, eating the bread of painful toils; [for] so doth he give unto his beloved during sleep.
Angsatui hoi buhcaak hanah, khawnthaw ah nang thawk, khoving khoek to anghnut moe, toksakhaih loe azom pui ah ni oh; a palung ih kami khaeah kahnaep ah iihhaih to paek.
3 Lo, children are an inheritance from the Lord: a reward is the fruit of the body.
Khenah, caa nawktanawk loe Angraeng ih qawk ah oh o moe, zok ih thingthai loe anih mah paek ih tangqum ah ni oh.
4 Like arrows in the hand of a mighty man, so are the children of youth.
Tha oh li naah sak ih caanawk loe, thacak kami ih ban ah kaom palaanawk baktiah oh o.
5 Happy is the man that hath his quiver filled with them: they shall not be put to shame, when they do speak with the enemies in the gate.
Palaa hoi kakoi kalii tabu tawn kami loe tahamhoih; nihcae loe azathaih tongh o mak ai, khongkha ah misanawk to pakaa o thai tih.
