Psalms 124

1 “A song of the degrees by David.” If it had not been the Lord who was for us, so should Israel say;

अब इस्राएलले भनोस्, “परमप्रभु हाम्रो पक्षमा नहुनुभएको भए,

2 If it had not been the Lord who was for us, when men rose up against us:

मानिसहरू हाम्रा विरुद्धमा खडा हुँदा परमप्रभु हाम्रो पक्षमा नहुनुभएको भए,

3 Then would they have swallowed us up alive, when their wrath was kindled against us;

तब हाम्रा विरुद्धमा तिनीहरूका रिस दन्किंदा तिनीहरूले हामीलाई जिउँदै निल्नेथिए ।

4 Then would the waters have overwhelmed us, the stream would have passed over our soul;

पानीले हामीलाई बगाएर लानेथियो । पानीको भलले हामीलाई बगाउनेथियो ।

5 Then would have passed over our soul the presumptuous waters.

तब उर्लंदो पानीले हामीलाई डुबाउनेथियो ।”

6 Blessed be the Lord, who hath not given us up as a prey to their teeth.

परमप्रभुको प्रशंसा होस्, जसले हामीलाई तिनीहरूको दाँतले धुजाधुजा हुन दिनुभएको छैन ।

7 Our soul is escaped like a bird out of the snare of the fowlers: the snare is broken, and we are escaped.

शिकारीको पासोबाट चरा फुत्‍केझैं हामी भएका छौं । पासो चुँडेको छ र हामी उम्केका छौं ।

8 Our help is in the name of the Lord, the maker of heaven and earth.

परमप्रभु हाम्रो सहायता हुनुहुन्छ, जसले स्वर्ग र पृथ्वी बनाउनुभयो ।
