< Psalms 123 >

1 “A song of the degrees.” Unto thee do I lift up my eyes, O thou that dwellest in the heavens.
Ɔsoroforɔ dwom. Mema mʼani so kyerɛ wo, wo a wʼahennwa si ɔsoro.
2 Behold, as the eyes of servants are directed unto the hand of their masters, as the eyes of a maiden unto the hand of her mistress: thus are our eyes directed unto the Lord our God, until he be gracious unto us.
Sɛdeɛ nkoa ani hwɛ wɔn wura nsa no, sɛdeɛ afenaa ani hwɛ nʼawurakwaa nsa no, saa ara na yɛn ani hwɛ Awurade, yɛn Onyankopɔn kɔsi sɛ ɔbɛhunu yɛn mmɔbɔ.
3 Be gracious unto us, O Lord! be gracious unto us; for we are overburdened with contempt.
Hu yɛn mmɔbɔ, Ao Awurade, hunu yɛn mmɔbɔ, na wɔabu yɛn animtia bebree.
4 Our soul is overburdened with the scorn of those who are at ease, with the contempt of the proud oppressors.
Ahomasofoɔ fɛdie ama yɛabrɛ dodo; ahantanfoɔ animtiabuo afono yɛn.
