Psalms 122

1 “A song of the degrees by David.” I was rejoiced when they said unto me, Unto the house of the Lord let us go.

שִׁיר הַֽמַּעֲלוֹת לְדָוִד שָׂמַחְתִּי בְּאֹמְרִים לִי בֵּית יְהֹוָה נֵלֵֽךְ׃

2 Our feet are now standing within thy gates, O Jerusalem!

עֹמְדוֹת הָיוּ רַגְלֵינוּ בִּשְׁעָרַיִךְ יְרוּשָׁלָֽ͏ִם׃

3 Jerusalem, which art built as a city wherein all associate together.

יְרוּשָׁלַ͏ִם הַבְּנוּיָה כְּעִיר שֶׁחֻבְּרָה־לָּהּ יַחְדָּֽו׃

4 For thither go up the tribes of the Lord, as a testimony for Israel, to give thanks unto the name of the Lord.

שֶׁשָּׁם עָלוּ שְׁבָטִים שִׁבְטֵי־יָהּ עֵדוּת לְיִשְׂרָאֵל לְהֹדוֹת לְשֵׁם יְהֹוָֽה׃

5 For there are placed chairs for [giving] judgment, the chairs for the house of David.—

כִּי שָׁמָּה ׀ יָשְׁבוּ כִסְאוֹת לְמִשְׁפָּט כִּסְאוֹת לְבֵית דָּוִֽד׃

6 Pray ye for the peace of Jerusalem; may those that love thee prosper.

שַׁאֲלוּ שְׁלוֹם יְרוּשָׁלָ͏ִם יִשְׁלָיוּ אֹהֲבָֽיִךְ׃

7 May there be peace within thy walls, prosperity within thy palaces,

יְהִי־שָׁלוֹם בְּחֵילֵךְ שַׁלְוָה בְּאַרְמְנוֹתָֽיִךְ׃

8 For the sake of my brethren and my friends, let me now speak, Peace be within thee.

לְמַעַן אַחַי וְרֵעָי אֲדַבְּרָה־נָּא שָׁלוֹם בָּֽךְ׃

9 For the sake of the house of the Lord our God, will I seek thy good.

לְמַעַן בֵּית־יְהֹוָה אֱלֹהֵינוּ אֲבַקְשָׁה טוֹב לָֽךְ׃
