< Psalms 120 >

1 “A song of the degrees.” Unto the Lord, when I was in distress, did I call, and he hath answered me.
Anigoo cidhiidhi ku jira ayaan Rabbiga u qayshaday, Oo isna wuu ii jawaabay.
2 O Lord, deliver my soul from lips of falsehood, and from a tongue of deceit.
Rabbiyow, naftayda ka samatabbixi bushimo been sheega, Iyo carrab khiyaano badan.
3 What will [God] give unto thee? or what will he add unto thee, thou tongue of deceit?
Carrabka khiyaanada badanow, bal maxaa lagu siin doonaa? Oo maxaa kaloo laguu samayn doonaa?
4 Sharpened arrows of the mighty, with coals of the broom-bush.
Adoo ah sida ku xoog badan oo fallaadhihiisa afaysan, Kuwaas oo wata dhuxulo geed rotem la yidhaahdo.
5 Woe is me, that I sojourn in Meshech, that I dwell in the tents of Kedar!
Anaa hoogay, waayo, Mesheg baan qariib ku noqday, Oo waxaan dhex degay teendhooyinkii Qedaar!
6 Too long for herself hath my soul dwelt with him that hateth peace.
Naftaydu waxay wakhti dheer la degganayd Mid nabadda neceb.
7 I am for peace; but when I speak, they are for war.
Waxaan ahay mid nabad jecel, Laakiinse kolkii aan hadlo, iyagu waa kuwa dagaal jecel.
