Psalms 119
1 ALEPH. Happy are they whose way is perfect, who walk in the law of the Lord.
Wohl denen, deren Wandel unsträflich ist, die einhergehn im Gesetz des HERRN!
2 Happy are they who keep his testimonies, that seek him with all their heart.
Wohl denen, die seine Zeugnisse beobachten, die mit ganzem Herzen ihn suchen,
3 They also commit no injustice; in his ways do they walk.
die auch kein Unrecht verüben, sondern auf seinen Wegen gehen!
4 Thou thyself hast commanded us thy precepts, that we might keep [them] diligently.
Du selbst hast deine Befehle erlassen, daß man sie sorglich befolge.
5 Oh that my ways were firmly directed to observe thy statutes!
Ach möchte doch mein Wandel fest sein in der Befolgung deiner Satzungen!
6 Then would I not be made ashamed, while I look at all thy commandments.
Dann werde ich nicht beschämt sein, wenn ich alle deine Gebote vor Augen habe.
7 I will thank thee with uprightness of heart, when I learn thy righteous ordinances.
Ich will dir aufrichtigen Herzens danken, indem ich die Rechte deiner Gerechtigkeit lerne.
8 Thy statutes will I observe: oh forsake me not too greatly.
Deine Satzungen will ich halten: verlaß mich nicht ganz und gar!
9 BETH. Wherewithal shall a youth keep his way pure? by guarding it according to thy word.
Wie wird ein Jüngling seinen Wandel rein gestalten? Wenn er ihn führt nach deinem Wort.
10 With all my heart have I sought thee: oh let me not wander astray from thy commandments.
Mit ganzem Herzen suche ich dich: laß mich von deinen Geboten nicht abirren!
11 In my heart have I treasured up thy saying, in order that I may not sin against thee.
In meinem Herzen wahre ich dein Wort, um mich nicht gegen dich zu verfehlen.
12 Blessed art thou, O Lord: teach me thy statutes.
Gepriesen seist du, o HERR: lehre mich deine Satzungen!
13 With my lips have I related all the ordinances of thy mouth.
Mit meinen Lippen zähle ich her alle Rechte deines Mundes.
14 On the way of thy testimonies have I been glad, as over all wealth.
An dem Wege deiner Zeugnisse habe ich Freude wie über irgendwelchen Reichtum.
15 On thy precepts will I meditate, and direct my look unto thy paths.
Über deine Befehle will ich sinnen und achten auf deine Pfade.
16 In thy statutes will I seek my delight: I will not forget thy word.
An deinen Satzungen habe ich meine Lust, will deine Worte nicht vergessen.
17 GIMEL. Deal bountifully with thy servant: let me live, that I may observe thy word.
Tu Gutes an deinem Knecht, auf daß ich leben bleibe, so will ich deine Worte befolgen.
18 Open thou my eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of thy law.
Öffne mir die Augen, daß ich klar erkenne die Wunder in deinem Gesetz.
19 A stranger am I on the earth: hide not from me thy commandments.
Ich bin nur ein Gast auf Erden: verbirg deine Gebote nicht vor mir.
20 My soul is broken from longing for thy ordinances at all times.
Meine Seele verzehrt sich vor Sehnsucht nach deinen Rechten allezeit.
21 Thou hast rebuked the accursed proud, who go erringly astray from thy commandments.
Gedroht hast du den Stolzen; verflucht sind, die von deinen Geboten abweichen.
22 Roll away from me reproach and contempt; for thy testimonies have I kept.
Wälze Schmach und Verachtung von mir ab, denn ich beobachte deine Zeugnisse.
23 Although even princes should sit and speak against me, thy servant would still meditate on thy statutes.
Mögen auch Fürsten sitzen und wider mich beraten: dein Knecht sinnt doch über deine Satzungen nach.
24 Also thy testimonies are my delight, my counsellors.
Ja, deine Zeugnisse sind meine Freude, meine Ratgeber sind sie.
25 DALETH. My soul cleaveth unto the dust: revive thou me according to thy word.
Mein Mut ist in den Staub gesunken: belebe mich wieder nach deinem Wort.
26 My ways do I relate [to thee], and thou answerest me: teach me thy statutes.
Ich habe dir meine Lage geschildert, da hast du mich erhört: lehre mich deine Satzungen.
27 Cause me to understand the way of thy precepts, that I may meditate on thy wonders.
Laß mich den Weg verstehn, den deine Befehle gebieten, so will ich sinnen über deine Wunder.
28 My soul droppeth away from grief: sustain me according to thy word.
Mein Herz zerfließt vor Kummer in Tränen; richte mich auf nach deinen Worten.
29 The way of falsehood do thou remove from me, and grant me graciously thy law.
Den Weg der Lüge halte fern von mir, doch begnade mich mit deinem Gesetz!
30 The way of truth have I chosen: thy ordinances have I set [before me].
Den Weg der Treue habe ich erwählt, deine Rechte unanstößig befunden.
31 I have adhered unto thy testimonies: O Lord, put me not to shame.
Ich halte fest an deinen Zeugnissen: HERR, laß mich nicht zuschanden werden!
32 The way of thy commandments will I run; for thou wilt enlarge my heart.
Den Weg deiner Gebote will ich laufen, denn du machst mir weit das Herz.
33 HE. Teach me, O Lord, the way of thy statutes, and I shall keep it in all its windings.
Lehre mich, HERR, den Weg deiner Satzungen, so will ich ihn innehalten bis ans Ende.
34 Give me understanding, that I may keep thy law, and I will observe it with all [my] heart.
Verleihe mir Einsicht, damit ich deine Weisung beachte und sie mit ganzem Herzen befolge.
35 Guide me on the path of thy commandments; for therein do I find my delight.
Laß mich wandeln auf dem Pfade deiner Gebote, denn an diesem habe ich meine Freude.
36 Incline my heart unto thy testimonies, and not to desire for gain.
Neige mein Herz deinen Zeugnissen zu und nicht zur Gewinnsucht.
37 Turn away my eyes from beholding vanity: on thy way do thou give me life.
Wende meine Augen ab, daß sie nicht nach Eitlem schauen; belebe mich auf deinen Wegen.
38 Fulfill unto thy servant thy promise for those who are devoted to thy fear.
Erfülle an deinem Knechte deine Verheißung, die darauf abzielt, daß man dich fürchte.
39 Cause to pass away my disgrace of which I have dread; for thy ordinances are good.
Wende ab meine Schmach, vor der mir graut; denn deine Rechte sind heilsam.
40 Behold, I have longed after thy precepts: through thy righteousness do thou give my life.
Fürwahr, ich sehne mich nach deinen Befehlen: belebe mich durch deine Gerechtigkeit!
41 VAV. And let thy kindness come unto me, O Lord, thy salvation, according to thy promise.
Laß deine Gnadenerweise mir widerfahren, o HERR, deine Hilfe nach deinem Wort,
42 Then shall I have a word to answer the one that reproacheth me; for I trust in thy word.
daß ich dem, der mich schmäht, zu antworten weiß; denn ich verlasse mich auf dein Wort.
43 And snatch not the word of truth out of my mouth too greatly; for I wait for thy ordinances.
Und entzieh meinem Munde nicht ganz das Wort der Wahrheit; denn ich harre auf deine Rechte.
44 So shall I observe thy law continually for ever and ever.
Und befolgen will ich dein Gesetz beständig, immer und ewiglich;
45 And I will walk in an open space; for thy precepts have I sought.
so werde ich wandeln auf freier Bahn; denn ich habe mich stets um deine Befehle gekümmert;
46 And I will speak of thy testimonies before kings, and will not be ashamed.
und ich will von deinen Zeugnissen reden vor Königen, ohne mich zu scheuen;
47 And I will delight myself in thy commandments, which I love.
denn ich habe meine Freude an deinen Geboten, die mir lieb sind,
48 And so will I lift up my hands unto thy commandments, which I love, and I will meditate on thy statutes.
und hebe meine Hände auf zu deinen Geboten, [die mir lieb sind, ] will über deine Satzungen sinnen.
49 ZAYIN. Remember thy word unto thy servant, upon which thou hast caused me to wait.
Halte deinem Knecht getreulich dein Wort, auf das du mich hast hoffen lassen!
50 This is my comfort in my affliction, that thy promise hath revived me.
Das ist mein Trost in meinem Elend, daß dein Wort mich neu belebt hat.
51 The presumptuous have held me too greatly in derision: yet have I not departed away from thy law.
Die Übermüt’gen verspotten mich maßlos, doch ich bin von deinem Gesetz nicht abgewichen.
52 I remembered thy decrees [which were] from olden times, O Lord, and thus comforted myself.
Gedenke ich deiner Rechte aus der Vorzeit, so fühle ich mich, o HERR, getröstet.
53 Horror seized on me because of the wicked that forsake thy law.
Heißer Zorn erfaßt mich wegen der Gottlosen, die dein Gesetz verlassen haben.
54 Songs have thy statutes been unto me in the house of my pilgrimage.
Deine Satzungen sind mir zu Lobgesängen geworden im Hause meiner Pilgerschaft.
55 I remembered in the night thy name, O Lord, and observed thy law.
In der Nacht sogar gedenke ich deines Namens, o HERR, und befolge dein Gesetz.
56 This came to pass unto me, because I had kept thy precepts.
Das ist mir zuteil geworden, daß ich deine Befehle befolgt habe.
57 CHETH. My portion is the Lord, have I said, that I might observe thy words.
Meine Aufgabe ist, o HERR, ich bekenne es, deine Worte zu befolgen.
58 I make entreaty before thee with all my heart: be gracious unto me according to thy promise.
Von ganzem Herzen fleh’ ich dich an: »Sei mir gnädig nach deiner Verheißung!«
59 I have thought over my ways, and made my feet return unto thy testimonies.
Ich habe über meine Wege nachgedacht und lenke (daher) meine Schritte zu deinen Zeugnissen zurück.
60 I hastened, and delayed not to observe thy commandments.
Ich eile und säume nicht, deine Gebote zu befolgen.
61 Companies of wicked men have surrounded me; but I have not forgotten thy law.
Die Fallstricke der Gottlosen umringen mich; dennoch vergesse ich dein Gesetz nicht.
62 At midnights do I constantly rise to give thanks unto thee, because of thy righteous decrees.
In der Mitte der Nacht stehe ich auf, um dir zu danken für die Verordnungen deiner Gerechtigkeit.
63 An associate am I unto all that fear thee, and unto those that keep thy precepts.
Befreundet bin ich mit allen, die dich fürchten, und mit denen, die deine Befehle befolgen.
64 Of thy kindness, O Lord, is the earth full: teach me thy statutes.
Deiner Gnade, o HERR, ist die Erde voll: lehre mich deine Satzungen!
65 TETH. Thou hast shown goodness on thy servant, O Lord, according to thy word.
Gutes hast du an deinem Knechte getan, o HERR, nach deiner Verheißung.
66 The best of discernment and knowledge do thou teach me; for in thy commandments do I believe.
Rechte Einsicht und Erkenntnis lehre mich, denn ich vertraue auf deine Gebote.
67 Before I was afflicted I was in error; but now I observe thy saying.
Bevor ich gedemütigt wurde, ging ich irre; jetzt aber beobachte ich dein Wort.
68 Thou art good, and doing good: teach me thy statutes.
Du bist gütig und erweisest Gutes: lehre mich deine Satzungen!
69 The presumptuous have invented falsehoods against me; but I will with all my heart indeed keep thy precepts.
Lügen haben die Stolzen gegen mich erdichtet, ich aber befolge deine Befehle mit ganzem Herzen.
70 Gross as fat is their heart; but I take truly delight in thy law.
Unempfindlich wie von Fett ist ihr Herz, ich aber habe Freude an deinem Gesetz.
71 It is well for me that I have been afflicted, in order that I might learn thy statutes.
Gut war’s für mich, daß ich gedemütigt wurde, damit ich deine Satzungen lernte.
72 Better is unto me the law of thy mouth than thousands of gold and silver.
Die Weisung deines Mundes ist mir lieber als Tausende von Gold- und Silberstücken.
73 YOD. Thy hands have made me and established me: give me understanding, that I may learn thy commandments.
Deine Hände haben mich geschaffen und gebildet: verleihe mir nun auch Einsicht, daß ich deine Gebote lerne!
74 Those that fear thee will see me and be rejoiced; because I have waited for thy word.
Die dich fürchten, werden mich sehen und sich freun; denn ich habe auf dein Wort geharrt.
75 I know, O Lord, that thy decrees are righteous, and that in faithfulness thou hast afflicted me.
Ich weiß, o HERR, daß deine Gerichte gerecht sind und du mich in Treue gedemütigt hast.
76 Let, I pray thee, thy kindness come to comfort me, according to thy promise unto thy servant.
Laß doch deine Gnade mir Trost gewähren, wie du deinem Knechte verheißen hast!
77 Let thy mercies come unto me, that I may live; for thy law is my delight.
Laß mir dein Erbarmen widerfahren, daß ich auflebe, denn dein Gesetz ist meine Lust.
78 Let the presumptuous be made ashamed; because they have without a cause dealt perversely with me; but I will indeed meditate on thy precepts.
Laß die Stolzen zuschanden werden, weil sie ohne Grund mich niederdrücken; ich aber sinne über deine Befehle.
79 Let those that fear thee return unto me, and those that know thy testimonies.
Laß mir sich zuwenden, die dich fürchten und die deine Zeugnisse anerkennen!
80 Let my heart be entire in thy statutes, in order that I may not be put to shame.
Mein Herz halte treu an deinen Satzungen fest, auf daß ich nicht zuschanden werde.
81 CAPH. My soul ardently desireth for thy salvation: for thy word do I wait.
Meine Seele schmachtet nach deiner Hilfe: ich harre auf dein Wort.
82 My eyes look eagerly for thy promise, saying, When wilt thou comfort me?
Meine Augen schmachten nach deiner Verheißung, indem ich frage: »Wann wirst du mich trösten?«
83 For I am become like a bottle in the smoke: [yet] do I not forget thy statutes.
Bin ich auch wie ein Schlauch im Rauch geworden, hab’ ich doch deine Satzungen nicht vergessen.
84 How many are the days of thy servant? when wilt thou execute justice on my persecutors?
Wie viele sind noch der Lebenstage deines Knechts? Wann hältst du Gericht über meine Verfolger?
85 The presumptuous have dug pits for me, which is not in accordance with thy law.
Übermütige haben mir Gruben gegraben, sie, die sich nicht nach deinem Gesetz verhalten.
86 All thy commandments are founded on truth: without cause they persecute me; help thou me.
Alle deine Gebote sind Wahrheit; mit Lüge verfolgt man mich: so hilf mir!
87 But little was wanting that they had consumed me upon earth; but I have truly not forsaken thy precepts.
Fast hätten sie mich im Lande umgebracht; doch ich verlasse deine Befehle nicht.
88 According to thy kindness give me life, that I may observe the testimony of thy mouth.
Nach deiner Gnade erhalte mich am Leben, so will ich das Zeugnis deines Mundes befolgen.
89 LAMED. To eternity, O Lord, standeth firm thy word with the heavens.
Auf ewige Zeit, o HERR, steht fest dein Wort im Himmel.
90 Unto all generations endureth thy faithfulness: thou hast established the earth, and she standeth.
Von Geschlecht zu Geschlecht währt deine Treue; du hast die Erde festgestellt, und sie steht;
91 According to thy ordinances they exist this day: for all are thy servants.
nach deinen Verordnungen stehn sie noch heute, denn alle Dinge sind dir dienstbar.
92 Unless thy law had been my delights, I should long since have been lost in my affliction.
Wäre dein Gesetz nicht meine Freude gewesen, so wär’ ich in meinem Elend vergangen.
93 Never will I forget thy precepts; for with them thou hast kept me alive.
Niemals will ich deine Befehle vergessen, denn durch sie hast du mich neu belebt.
94 Thine am I, save me; for thy precepts have I sought.
Dein bin ich: hilf mir! Denn ich beachte deine Verordnungen.
95 Wicked men have waited for me to destroy me; [but] I will reflect on thy testimonies.
Gottlose lauern mir auf, um mich umzubringen, ich aber achte auf deine Zeugnisse.
96 Of all perfection have I seen the end; [but] thy commandment is exceedingly extended.
Von allem Vollkomm’nen habe ich eine Grenze gesehn; doch dein Gebot ist völlig unbeschränkt.
97 MEM. Oh how do I love thy law! all the day is it my (meditation)
Wie habe ich dein Gesetz so lieb! Den ganzen Tag ist es mein Sinnen.
98 Wiser than my enemy doth thy commandment make me; for it is perpetually with me.
Weiser, als meine Feinde sind, machen mich deine Gebote, denn mein sind sie für immer.
99 Above all my teachers have I obtained intelligence; for thy testimonies are my (meditation)
Verständiger bin ich als alle meine Lehrer, denn deine Zeugnisse sind mein Sinnen.
100 More than the elders do I possess understanding; because thy precepts do I keep.
Mehr Einsicht besitz’ ich als die Greise; denn ich beobachte deine Befehle.
101 From every evil path have I withholden my feet, in order that I might observe thy word.
Von jedem bösen Pfade halte ich meinen Fuß fern, um dein Wort zu befolgen.
102 From thy ordinances have I not departed; for thou hast instructed me.
Von deinen Rechten weiche ich nicht ab, denn du hast mich belehrt.
103 How much sweeter are to my palate thy sayings than honey to my mouth!
Wie süß sind deine Worte meinem Gaumen, süßer als Honig meinem Munde!
104 Through thy precepts shall I obtain understanding: therefore do I hate every path of falsehood.
Aus deinen Befehlen gewinne ich Einsicht; darum hasse ich jeglichen Lügenpfad.
105 NUN. A lamp unto my feet is thy word, and a light unto my path.
Dein Wort ist meines Fußes Leuchte und ein Licht auf meinem Wege.
106 I have sworn, and I will perform it, to observe thy righteous ordinances.
Ich habe geschworen und den Vorsatz gefaßt, den Verordnungen deiner Gerechtigkeit treu zu bleiben.
107 I am afflicted exceedingly much: O Lord, revive me, according to thy word.
Ich bin gar tief gebeugt: o HERR, belebe mich wieder nach deiner Verheißung!
108 Receive in favor the freewill-offerings of my mouth, I beseech thee, O Lord, and teach me thy ordinances.
Laß, HERR, dir gefallen die willigen Opfer meines Mundes und lehre mich deine Rechte!
109 My life is in my hand continually: yet thy law do I not forget.
Ich schwebe beständig in Todesgefahr, doch dein Gesetz vergesse ich nicht.
110 The wicked have laid a snare for me: yet have I not erred from thy precepts.
Die Gottlosen haben mir Schlingen gelegt, aber von deinen Befehlen irre ich nicht ab.
111 I have taken thy testimonies as a heritage to eternity; for they are the joy of my heart.
Deine Zeugnisse sind mein ewiger Erbbesitz, denn sie sind die Wonne meines Herzens.
112 I have inclined my heart to perform thy statutes always, in all their ways.
Ich neige mein Herz dazu, deine Satzungen zu erfüllen immerdar bis ans Ende.
113 SAMECH. Those of divided thoughts I hate; but thy law do I love.
Die Doppelherzigen hasse ich, aber dein Gesetz ist mir lieb.
114 My shelter and my shield art thou: for thy word do I wait.
Mein Schirm und Schild bist du; auf dein Wort harre ich.
115 Depart from me, ye evildoers, that I may keep the commandments of God.
Weicht von mir, ihr Übeltäter! Ich will die Gebote meines Gottes halten.
116 Uphold me according to thy promise, that I may live, and let me not be made ashamed of my hope.
Stütze mich nach deiner Verheißung, daß ich lebe, und laß mich nicht in meiner Hoffnung getäuscht werden!
117 Support me that I may be placed in safety, and I will direct my regard unto thy statutes continually.
Stärke mich, auf daß ich Heil erlange, und laß mich stets auf deine Satzungen achten!
118 Thou hast trodden down all that erringly stray from thy statutes; for falsehood is their deceit.
Du verwirfst alle, die von deinen Satzungen abirren; denn erfolglos ist ihre Täuschung.
119 Like dross dost thou put away all the wicked of the earth: therefore do I love thy testimonies.
Wie Schlacken räumst du alle Gottlosen des Landes hinweg; darum liebe ich deine Zeugnisse.
120 My flesh trembleth shudderingly from dread of thee, and of thy decrees am I afraid.
Aus Furcht vor dir schaudert mein Leib, und mir ist bange vor deinen Gerichten.
121 'AYIN. I have executed justice and righteousness: leave me not to those who oppress me.
Ich habe Recht und Gerechtigkeit geübt: gib mich nicht meinen Bedrückern preis!
122 Protect thy servant for good: let not the presumptuous oppress me.
Tritt für deinen Knecht zu seinem Heile ein, laß die Stolzen mir nicht Gewalt antun!
123 My eyes look eagerly for thy salvation, and for thy righteous promise.
Meine Augen schmachten nach deiner Rettung und nach der Bestätigung deiner Gerechtigkeit.
124 Deal with thy servant according to thy kindness, and thy statutes do thou teach me.
Verfahre mit deinem Knecht nach deiner Gnade und lehre mich deine Satzungen!
125 I am thy servant: give me understanding, that I may know thy testimonies.
Dein Knecht bin ich, verleihe mir Einsicht, damit ich deine Zeugnisse verstehen lerne.
126 It is time to act for the Lord: they have broken thy law.
Zeit ist’s für den HERRN, zu handeln: sie haben ja dein Gesetz gebrochen.
127 Therefore do I love thy commandments more than gold, and more than fine gold.
Darum liebe ich deine Gebote mehr als Gold und als Feingold.
128 Therefore do I esteem all thy precepts in all things as right: every path of falsehood do I hate.
Darum schätze ich alle deine Befehle als richtig; jeder Lügenpfad ist mir verhaßt.
129 PE. Wonderful are thy testimonies: therefore doth my soul keep them.
Wunderwerke sind deine Zeugnisse; darum hält mein Herz an ihnen fest.
130 The opening of thy words giveth light, it giveth understanding unto the simple.
Die Erschließung deiner Worte erleuchtet, verleiht den Einfältigen Einsicht.
131 I opened my mouth, and panted for breath; because for thy commandments did I long.
Ich tue meinen Mund weit auf und lechze, denn mich verlangt nach deinen Geboten.
132 Turn thou unto me, and be gracious unto me, as is thy wont unto those that love thy name.
Wende dich zu mir und sei mir gnädig, wie es recht ist bei denen, die deinen Namen lieben!
133 My steps establish thou through thy promise, and suffer not any wrong to have dominion over me.
Laß meine Schritte fest sein durch dein Wort und laß nichts Trügerisches über mich herrschen.
134 Deliver me from the oppression of man, and I will observe thy precepts.
Erlöse mich von der Bedrückung der Menschen, so will ich deine Befehle befolgen.
135 Let thy face shine upon thy servant, and teach me thy statutes.
Laß dein Angesicht leuchten gegen deinen Knecht und lehre mich deine Satzungen.
136 Streams of water have run down my eyes; because they had not observed thy law.
Tränenströme rinnen aus meinen Augen, weil viele dein Gesetz nicht befolgen.
137 TZADDE. Righteous art thou, O Lord, and upright are thy decrees.
Gerecht bist du, o HERR, und richtig sind deine Rechte.
138 Thou hast commanded thy testimonies, as righteous and faithful exceedingly.
In Gerechtigkeit hast du deine Zeugnisse verordnet und in unerschütterlicher Treue.
139 My zeal destroyeth me; because my assailants have forgotten thy words.
Mich verzehrt mein Eifer, weil meine Gegner deine Worte vergessen.
140 Thy promise is greatly refined, and thy servant loveth it.
Dein Wort ist wohlgeläutert, und dein Knecht hat es lieb.
141 I am little and despised: yet thy precepts have I not forgotten.
Gering bin ich und verachtet, doch deine Befehle vergesse ich nicht.
142 Thy righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, and thy law is the truth.
Deine Gerechtigkeit ist ewige Gerechtigkeit, und dein Gesetz ist Wahrheit.
143 Distress and trouble have overtaken me: [yet] are thy commandments my delights.
Wenn Leiden und Not mich getroffen haben, sind deine Gebote dennoch meine Freude.
144 Righteous are thy testimonies for everlasting: give me understanding, that I may live.
Deine Zeugnisse bleiben immerdar gerecht: verleihe mir Verständnis, so werde ich leben.
145 KOPH. I have called with all my heart: answer me, O Lord: thy statutes will I keep.
Ich rufe von ganzem Herzen: »Erhöre mich, HERR!« Deine Satzungen will ich beobachten.
146 I have called on thee, save me, and I will observe thy testimonies.
Ich rufe zu dir: »Hilf mir! So will ich deine Zeugnisse beobachten.«
147 I come before thee in the dawn of morning, and cry: for thy word do I wait.
Früh bin ich auf vor Tagesanbruch und flehe laut; auf dein Wort harre ich.
148 My eyes are awake before the night-watches, that I may meditate in thy saying.
Meine Augen wachen die ganze Nacht hindurch, um über dein Wort nachzusinnen.
149 Hear my voice according to thy kindness: O Lord, according to thy decree do thou grant me life.
Höre meine Stimme nach deiner Gnade! O HERR, nach deinen Rechten laß mich aufleben!
150 They that pursue mischievous devices draw nigh: from thy law are they far.
Mir haben sich Leute genaht, die der Arglist frönen: von deinem Gesetz sind sie fern;
151 Near art thou, O Lord; and all thy commandments are the truth.
doch du bist mir nahe, o HERR, und alle deine Gebote sind Wahrheit.
152 Of old already I knew of thy testimonies; because for eternity hast thou founded them.
Längst weiß ich aus deinen Zeugnissen, daß du sie für ewig festgestellt hast.
153 RESH. Look on my affliction, and release me; for thy law have I not forgotten.
Sieh mein Elend an und errette mich! Denn dein Gesetz vergesse ich nicht.
154 Plead my cause, and deliver me: according to thy promise do thou revive me.
Führe meine Sache und erlöse mich, schenke mir neues Leben nach deiner Verheißung!
155 Far from the wicked is salvation; because thy statutes have they not sought for.
Den Gottlosen bleibt die Hilfe fern, denn sie kümmern sich nicht um deine Satzungen.
156 Thy mercies are abundant, O Lord; according to thy decrees do thou revive me.
Deine Barmherzigkeit ist groß, o HERR: nach deinen Rechten belebe mich wieder!
157 Many are my persecutors and my assailants: yet from thy testimonies do I not turn away.
Groß ist meiner Verfolger und Gegner Zahl, doch von deinen Zeugnissen geh’ ich nicht ab.
158 I beheld the treacherous, and felt disgust; because they observed not thy saying.
Wenn ich Treulose sehe, so fühle ich Abscheu, weil sie dein Wort nicht befolgen.
159 Behold that I love thy precepts: O Lord, according to thy kindness do thou revive me.
Sieh her, ich liebe deine Befehle: HERR, schenke mir neues Leben nach deiner Gnade!
160 The summit of thy word is truth: and the whole of thy righteous judgment endureth for ever.
Der ganze Inhalt deines Wortes ist Wahrheit, und ewig gilt jede Verordnung deiner Gerechtigkeit.
161 SHIN. Princes have persecuted me without a cause; but of thy word standeth my heart in dread.
Fürsten haben mich ohne Ursach’ verfolgt; doch nur vor deinen Worten erbebt mein Herz.
162 I am rejoiced over thy promise, as one that findeth great spoil.
Ich freue mich über dein Wort wie einer, der große Beute gewinnt.
163 Falsehood I hate and abhor: but thy law do I love.
Lügen hasse und verabscheue ich, aber dein Gesetz ist mir lieb.
164 Seven times in the day do I praise thee because of thy righteous decrees.
Siebenmal täglich preise ich dich um der Verordnungen deiner Gerechtigkeit willen.
165 Abundant peace have they who love thy law; and thee is nothing that causeth them to stumble.
Frieden in Fülle erlangen die Freunde deines Gesetzes, denn es gibt für sie kein Straucheln.
166 I have hoped for thy salvation, O Lord, and thy commandments have I fulfilled.
Ich hoffe auf deine Rettung, o HERR, denn ich habe deine Gebote gehalten.
167 My soul hath observed thy testimonies, and I love them exceedingly.
Mein Herz befolgt deine Zeugnisse, und ich habe sie aufrichtig lieb.
168 I have observed thy precepts and thy testimonies; because all my ways are before thee.
Ich befolge deine Befehle und Zeugnisse; denn alle meine Wege sind dir bekannt.
169 TAV. Let my entreaty come near before thee, O Lord: according to thy word grant me understanding.
Laß mein lautes Flehen zu dir dringen, o HERR; verleih mir Verständnis für dein Wort!
170 Let my supplication come before thee: according to thy promise do thou deliver me.
Laß mein Beten vor dich kommen: errette mich nach deiner Verheißung!
171 My lips shall utter praise; because thou wilt teach me thy statutes.
Meine Lippen sollen Lobpreis sprudeln lassen, weil du mich deine Satzungen lehrst.
172 My tongue shall speak loudly of thy promise; for all thy commandments are righteous.
Meine Zunge soll von deinem Worte singen; denn alle deine Gebote sind gerecht.
173 Let thy hand be [ready] to help me; for thy precepts have I chosen.
Laß deine Hand bereit sein, mir zu helfen, denn deine Befehle hab’ ich (zu Führern) erwählt.
174 I have longed for thy salvation, O Lord; and thy law is my delights.
Ich sehne mich nach deiner Hilfe, o HERR, und dein Gesetz ist meine Freude.
175 Let my soul live, and it shall praise thee: and let thy decrees help me.
Laß meine Seele leben, daß sie dich preise, und deine Rechte mögen mir helfen!
176 I have gone erringly astray like a lost sheep: seek thy servant; for thy commandments have I not forgotten.
Geh ich irre wie ein verlorenes Schaf, so suche deinen Knecht! Denn deine Gebote habe ich nicht vergessen.
