Psalms 119
1 ALEPH. Happy are they whose way is perfect, who walk in the law of the Lord.
Alle sind glücklich zu preisen, die da untadelig wandeln, / Die einhergehn nach Jahwes Gesetz.
2 Happy are they who keep his testimonies, that seek him with all their heart.
Alle sind glücklich zu preisen, die seine Zeugnisse halten, / Die ihn suchen von ganzem Herzen.
3 They also commit no injustice; in his ways do they walk.
Auch keine Frevel verüben, / Sondern in seinen Wegen gehn.
4 Thou thyself hast commanded us thy precepts, that we might keep [them] diligently.
Aufgestellt hast du deine Befehle, / Daß man sie treu erfüllen soll.
5 Oh that my ways were firmly directed to observe thy statutes!
Ach, stünde doch mein Wandel fest, / Indem ich deine Gesetze hielte!
6 Then would I not be made ashamed, while I look at all thy commandments.
Alsdann werd ich nicht zuschanden, / Wenn ich auf all deine Gebote blicke.
7 I will thank thee with uprightness of heart, when I learn thy righteous ordinances.
Aufrichtigen Herzens dank ich dir, / Wenn ich deine gerechten Befehle lerne.
8 Thy statutes will I observe: oh forsake me not too greatly.
Auf deine Satzungen achte ich: / Verlaß mich nicht völlig!
9 BETH. Wherewithal shall a youth keep his way pure? by guarding it according to thy word.
Bei einem Jüngling bleibt sein Wandel rein, / Wenn er ihn führt nach deinem Wort.
10 With all my heart have I sought thee: oh let me not wander astray from thy commandments.
Begehrt hab ich dein Wort von ganzem Herzen, / Laß mich nicht irren von deinen Geboten!
11 In my heart have I treasured up thy saying, in order that I may not sin against thee.
Bewahret hab ich dein Wort in meinem Herzen, / Damit ich nicht sündige wider dich.
12 Blessed art thou, O Lord: teach me thy statutes.
Besungen mit Lobpreis seiest du, Jahwe, / Lehre mich deine Satzungen!
13 With my lips have I related all the ordinances of thy mouth.
Bekundet hab ich mit meinen Lippen / Alle Ordnungen deines Mundes.
14 On the way of thy testimonies have I been glad, as over all wealth.
Betracht ich den Wandel, den deine Zeugnisse fordern, / So freu ich mich stets wie über allerlei Reichtum.
15 On thy precepts will I meditate, and direct my look unto thy paths.
Bei deinen Befehlen soll mein Sinnen verweilen, / Und blicken will ich auf deine Pfade.
16 In thy statutes will I seek my delight: I will not forget thy word.
Bei deinen Satzungen will ich mich ergötzen, / Will nicht vergessen deine Worte.
17 GIMEL. Deal bountifully with thy servant: let me live, that I may observe thy word.
Gewähre deinem Knechte Gutes, daß ich leben bleibe, / So will ich deine Worte halten.
18 Open thou my eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of thy law.
Gib mir offne Augen, / Damit ich erkenne die Wunder in deinem Gesetz.
19 A stranger am I on the earth: hide not from me thy commandments.
Gast nur bin ich auf Erden: / Verbirg vor mir nicht deine Gebote!
20 My soul is broken from longing for thy ordinances at all times.
Ganz verzehrt hat sich meine Seele vor Sehnsucht / Nach deinen Rechten zu jeder Zeit.
21 Thou hast rebuked the accursed proud, who go erringly astray from thy commandments.
Gescholten hast du Frevelhafte. / Fluch treff alle, die deine Gebote verlassen!
22 Roll away from me reproach and contempt; for thy testimonies have I kept.
Gespött und Schande, die ich erfahre, nimm weg! / Denn deine Zeugnisse halte ich.
23 Although even princes should sit and speak against me, thy servant would still meditate on thy statutes.
Gingen auch Fürsten wider mich an mit feindlicher Rede: / Dein Knecht sinnt doch über deine Satzungen nach.
24 Also thy testimonies are my delight, my counsellors.
Gar meine Lust sind deine Zeugnisse, / Sie sind meine Berater.
25 DALETH. My soul cleaveth unto the dust: revive thou me according to thy word.
Dem Staub klebt meine Seele an; / Belebe mich wieder nach deinem Wort!
26 My ways do I relate [to thee], and thou answerest me: teach me thy statutes.
Dir hab ich mein Los geschildert: da erhörtest du mich. / Lehre mich deine Satzungen!
27 Cause me to understand the way of thy precepts, that I may meditate on thy wonders.
Den Weg, den deine Befehle gebieten, laß mich verstehn! / Denn über deine Wunder will ich sinnen.
28 My soul droppeth away from grief: sustain me according to thy word.
Durch Kummer zerfließt meine Seele: / Richte mich auf nach deinen Verheißungsworten!
29 The way of falsehood do thou remove from me, and grant me graciously thy law.
Den Weg der Lüge halte mir fern, / Begnade mich aber mit deiner Lehre!
30 The way of truth have I chosen: thy ordinances have I set [before me].
Den Weg der Treue hab ich erwählt, / Deine Rechte mir vorgesetzt.
31 I have adhered unto thy testimonies: O Lord, put me not to shame.
Deine Zeugnisse, Jahwe, halt ich fest; / Laß mich nicht zuschanden werden!
32 The way of thy commandments will I run; for thou wilt enlarge my heart.
Den Weg, den deine Gebote weisen, will ich laufen, / Denn du erfüllst mich mit Einsicht.
33 HE. Teach me, O Lord, the way of thy statutes, and I shall keep it in all its windings.
Helle mir auf, o Jahwe, deiner Satzungen Weg, / Damit ich ihn immer beachte!
34 Give me understanding, that I may keep thy law, and I will observe it with all [my] heart.
Hilf mir zur rechten Erkenntnis, daß ich deine Lehre bewahre / Und sie von ganzem Herzen befolge!
35 Guide me on the path of thy commandments; for therein do I find my delight.
Hinführen wollest du mich auf deiner Gebote Pfad, / Denn ich habe Gefallen daran.
36 Incline my heart unto thy testimonies, and not to desire for gain.
Hinlenken wollest du mein Herz zu deinen Gesetzen / Und nicht zu ungerechtem Gewinn.
37 Turn away my eyes from beholding vanity: on thy way do thou give me life.
Hinweg zieh meine Augen, daß sie nicht nach dem Eitlen schaun, / Auf deinen Wegen belebe mich!
38 Fulfill unto thy servant thy promise for those who are devoted to thy fear.
Halt deinem Knechte deine Verheißung, / Damit ich wachse in Ehrfurcht vor dir!
39 Cause to pass away my disgrace of which I have dread; for thy ordinances are good.
Halt fern von mir die Schmach, vor der mir graut! / Denn deine Urteilssprüche sind gut.
40 Behold, I have longed after thy precepts: through thy righteousness do thou give my life.
Hat mich nicht stets verlangt nach deinen Befehlen? / Durch deine Gerechtigkeit belebe mich!
41 VAV. And let thy kindness come unto me, O Lord, thy salvation, according to thy promise.
Und laß, o Jahwe, deine Huld mich reich erfahren. / Dein Heil nach deiner Verheißung!
42 Then shall I have a word to answer the one that reproacheth me; for I trust in thy word.
Und dann will ich auch Rede stehn dem, der mich lästert; / Denn ich vertraue auf dein Wort.
43 And snatch not the word of truth out of my mouth too greatly; for I wait for thy ordinances.
Und entzieh doch meinem Munde das Wort der Wahrheit nicht, / Denn auf deine Rechte hoffe ich.
44 So shall I observe thy law continually for ever and ever.
Und deine Weisung will ich stets beachten, / Immer und ewiglich.
45 And I will walk in an open space; for thy precepts have I sought.
Und so werd ich dann auch getrost und unbefangen wandeln, / Denn in deinen Geboten hab ich Rat gesucht.
46 And I will speak of thy testimonies before kings, and will not be ashamed.
Und von deinen Zeugnissen will ich reden vor Königen / Furchtlos und ohne Scheu.
47 And I will delight myself in thy commandments, which I love.
Und ich erfreue mich an deinen Geboten, / Die ich liebgewonnen habe.
48 And so will I lift up my hands unto thy commandments, which I love, and I will meditate on thy statutes.
Und ich will meine Hände erheben zu deinen Geboten, (die ich liebgewonnen habe, ) / Nachsinnen will ich über deine Satzungen.
49 ZAYIN. Remember thy word unto thy servant, upon which thou hast caused me to wait.
Sei eingedenk des Worts, das du zu deinem Knecht geredet, / Weil du (auf einen guten Ausgang) mich hast hoffen lassen.
50 This is my comfort in my affliction, that thy promise hath revived me.
So fand ich Trost in meinem Elend, (als ich inneward) / Daß dein Verheißungswort mich neubelebte.
51 The presumptuous have held me too greatly in derision: yet have I not departed away from thy law.
Stolze haben mich gar sehr verspottet, / Dennoch bin ich von deinem Gesetz nicht abgewichen.
52 I remembered thy decrees [which were] from olden times, O Lord, and thus comforted myself.
Sooft ich daran denke, wie du von altersher gerichtet hast, / Werd ich, o Jahwe, auch getröstet.
53 Horror seized on me because of the wicked that forsake thy law.
Starker Zorn hat mich erfaßt den Frevlern gegenüber, / Die dein Gesetz verlassen haben.
54 Songs have thy statutes been unto me in the house of my pilgrimage.
Siegeslieder sind mir deine Satzungen / Im Hause meiner Fremdlingschaft.
55 I remembered in the night thy name, O Lord, and observed thy law.
Sogar des Nachts hab ich gedacht, o Jahwe, deines Namens, / Und darum hab ich deine Weisung auch befolgt.
56 This came to pass unto me, because I had kept thy precepts.
Solches ist mir zuteil geworden: / Daß ich deine Befehle halte.
57 CHETH. My portion is the Lord, have I said, that I might observe thy words.
Geschenkt — so habe ich gesagt — ist mir, o Jahwe, deine Gnade, / Daß ich deine Worte befolgen darf.
58 I make entreaty before thee with all my heart: be gracious unto me according to thy promise.
Gesucht hab ich von ganzem Herzen deine Huld: / Sei mir denn gnädig nach deiner Verheißung!
59 I have thought over my ways, and made my feet return unto thy testimonies.
Gedacht hab ich an meine Wege / Und habe meine Füße dann gelenkt zu deinen Zeugnissen.
60 I hastened, and delayed not to observe thy commandments.
Geeilt bin ich dabei und habe nicht gezaudert, / Deine Gebote zu halten.
61 Companies of wicked men have surrounded me; but I have not forgotten thy law.
Gottlose haben mich mit Stricken umringt: / Aber dein Gesetz hab ich nicht vergessen.
62 At midnights do I constantly rise to give thanks unto thee, because of thy righteous decrees.
Gegen Mitternacht steh ich auf, um dir zu danken / Für deine gerechten Gerichtsurteile.
63 An associate am I unto all that fear thee, and unto those that keep thy precepts.
Genosse bin ich allen, die dich fürchten / Und deine Befehle befolgen.
64 Of thy kindness, O Lord, is the earth full: teach me thy statutes.
Gefüllt mit deiner Güte, Jahwe, ist die Erde: / Lehre mich nun deine Satzungen!
65 TETH. Thou hast shown goodness on thy servant, O Lord, according to thy word.
Tröstliches hast du deinem Knechte erwiesen, / Jahwe, nach deinen Worten.
66 The best of discernment and knowledge do thou teach me; for in thy commandments do I believe.
Treffliche Klugheit und Einsicht lehre mich! / Denn deinen Geboten vertrau ich.
67 Before I was afflicted I was in error; but now I observe thy saying.
Trugwege bin ich gewandelt, eh ich ins Elend geriet; / Nun aber acht ich auf dein Gebot.
68 Thou art good, and doing good: teach me thy statutes.
Treusorgend bist du und voller Güte: / Lehre mich deine Satzungen!
69 The presumptuous have invented falsehoods against me; but I will with all my heart indeed keep thy precepts.
Trugvoll haben Frevler mir Lügen angedichtet: / Ich aber halte dennoch mit ganzem Herzen deine Befehle.
70 Gross as fat is their heart; but I take truly delight in thy law.
Töricht und fühllos ist ihr Herz; / Doch mein Entzücken ist dein Gesetz.
71 It is well for me that I have been afflicted, in order that I might learn thy statutes.
Traun, heilsam war mir des Leidens Schule, / Damit ich deine Satzungen lernte.
72 Better is unto me the law of thy mouth than thousands of gold and silver.
Teurer ist mir deines Mundes Gesetz / Als reiche Schätze an Silber und Gold.
73 YOD. Thy hands have made me and established me: give me understanding, that I may learn thy commandments.
Ja, deine Hände haben mich geschaffen und bereitet: / Gib mir nun auch Einsicht, daß ich deine Gebote lerne!
74 Those that fear thee will see me and be rejoiced; because I have waited for thy word.
Jeder, der dich fürchtet, wird freudig auf mich blicken; / Denn ich habe darauf geharrt, daß sich dein Verheißungswort erfülle.
75 I know, O Lord, that thy decrees are righteous, and that in faithfulness thou hast afflicted me.
Ich weiß, o Jahwe: gerecht sind deine Gerichte, / Und weil du es treu mit mir meinst, hast du mich in Trübsal geführt.
76 Let, I pray thee, thy kindness come to comfort me, according to thy promise unto thy servant.
In deiner Gnade laß mich nun aber auch Trost erfahren, / Wie du es deinem Knechte verheißen!
77 Let thy mercies come unto me, that I may live; for thy law is my delight.
In dein Erbarmen hülle mich ein, damit ich lebe! / Denn dein Gesetz ist meine Lust.
78 Let the presumptuous be made ashamed; because they have without a cause dealt perversely with me; but I will indeed meditate on thy precepts.
In Schande laß fallen die Frevelhaften, weil sie mich mit Lügen ins Elend gebracht! / Ich aber will über deine Befehle sinnen.
79 Let those that fear thee return unto me, and those that know thy testimonies.
Ja, mögen sich zu mir wenden, die dich fürchten / Und die deine Zeugnisse anerkennen!
80 Let my heart be entire in thy statutes, in order that I may not be put to shame.
In deinen Satzungen soll mein Herz beständig leben, / Damit ich nicht zuschanden werde.
81 CAPH. My soul ardently desireth for thy salvation: for thy word do I wait.
Klagend hat meine Seele nach deiner Hilfe geschmachtet: / Auf dein Wort hab ich geharrt.
82 My eyes look eagerly for thy promise, saying, When wilt thou comfort me?
Konnten nicht meine Augen vergehn, als ich nach deinem Wort ausschaute / Und (ängstlich) fragte: "Wann wirst du mich trösten?"
83 For I am become like a bottle in the smoke: [yet] do I not forget thy statutes.
Kann man auch von mir sagen: / "Der ist wie ein Schlauch im Rauch" — / Deine Satzungen hab ich doch nimmer vergessen.
84 How many are the days of thy servant? when wilt thou execute justice on my persecutors?
Kurz sind die Lebenstage deines Knechts. / Wann wirst du nun das Gericht vollstrecken an meinen Verfolgern?
85 The presumptuous have dug pits for me, which is not in accordance with thy law.
Kerkergruben haben mir Gottvergeßne gegraben, / Sie, die nicht handeln nach deinem Gesetz.
86 All thy commandments are founded on truth: without cause they persecute me; help thou me.
Können doch all deine Gebote nichts als ein Ausfluß deiner Treue sein! / Sie aber haben mich mit Lügen verfolgt: hilf du mir!
87 But little was wanting that they had consumed me upon earth; but I have truly not forsaken thy precepts.
Kümmerlich hätten sie mich beinah in der Grube sterben lassen, / Aber trotzdem hab ich deine Befehle nicht verlassen.
88 According to thy kindness give me life, that I may observe the testimony of thy mouth.
Könnt ich doch wieder aufleben durch deine Güte! / Dann will ich auch das Zeugnis deines Mundes halten.
89 LAMED. To eternity, O Lord, standeth firm thy word with the heavens.
Lebt, o Jahwe, nicht in Ewigkeit / Dein Wort im Himmel fort?
90 Unto all generations endureth thy faithfulness: thou hast established the earth, and she standeth.
Lang bis ins fernste Geschlecht währt deine Treu; / Du hast die Erde gegründet, und sie bleibt.
91 According to thy ordinances they exist this day: for all are thy servants.
Laut deiner Ordnung stehn sie noch heute; / Denn alles ist dir untertan.
92 Unless thy law had been my delights, I should long since have been lost in my affliction.
Ließe mich dein Gesetz nicht immer wieder Freude empfinden: / Ich wäre vergangen in meinem Elend.
93 Never will I forget thy precepts; for with them thou hast kept me alive.
Lebenslang werd ich deine Befehle nicht vergessen, / Denn durch sie hast du mich im Dasein erhalten.
94 Thine am I, save me; for thy precepts have I sought.
Liebend bin ich dein: drum rette mich! / Deine Befehle suche ich ja.
95 Wicked men have waited for me to destroy me; [but] I will reflect on thy testimonies.
Listig haben mir Frevler nachgestellt, um mich zu töten; / Dennoch werd ich auf deine Zeugnisse merken.
96 Of all perfection have I seen the end; [but] thy commandment is exceedingly extended.
Läßt sich auch sehn, daß alles Vollkommne begrenzt ist: / Dein Gebot reicht über die Maßen weit.
97 MEM. Oh how do I love thy law! all the day is it my (meditation)
Mit ganzer Seele lieb ich dein Gesetz; / Den ganzen Tag sinn ich darüber nach.
98 Wiser than my enemy doth thy commandment make me; for it is perpetually with me.
Mich werden deine Gebote weiser machen, als meine Feinde sind; / Denn sie sind mein für immer.
99 Above all my teachers have I obtained intelligence; for thy testimonies are my (meditation)
Meine Lehrer alle übertreffe ich an Einsicht, / Denn über deine Zeugnisse sinne ich.
100 More than the elders do I possess understanding; because thy precepts do I keep.
Mehr als Alte werd ich mir Verstand erwerben, / Wenn ich deinen Befehlen folge.
101 From every evil path have I withholden my feet, in order that I might observe thy word.
Mit allen bösen Pfaden haben meine Füße nichts gemein, / Damit ich deine Gebote mit der Tat erfülle.
102 From thy ordinances have I not departed; for thou hast instructed me.
Mitnichten bin ich von deinen Rechten gewichen; / Du hast mich ja belehrt.
103 How much sweeter are to my palate thy sayings than honey to my mouth!
Meinem Geschmack sind deine Worte lieber / Als Honig meinem Mund.
104 Through thy precepts shall I obtain understanding: therefore do I hate every path of falsehood.
Mit Einsicht erfüllen mich deine Befehle; / Drum haß ich jeden Lügenpfad.
105 NUN. A lamp unto my feet is thy word, and a light unto my path.
Nur dein Wort ist eine Leuchte meinem Fuß / Und ein Licht für meinen Weg.
106 I have sworn, and I will perform it, to observe thy righteous ordinances.
Nimmer werd ich brechen, was ich eidlich gelobt: / "Deine gerechten Vorschriften will ich befolgen."
107 I am afflicted exceedingly much: O Lord, revive me, according to thy word.
Niedergebeugt bin ich gar sehr; / Jahwe, belebe mich wieder nach deinem Wort!
108 Receive in favor the freewill-offerings of my mouth, I beseech thee, O Lord, and teach me thy ordinances.
Nimm wohlgefällig an, o Jahwe, die willigen Opfer meines Mundes / Und lehre mich deine Gebote!
109 My life is in my hand continually: yet thy law do I not forget.
Nicht einen Augenblick bin ich des Lebens sicher: / Dennoch hab ich dein Gesetz nicht vergessen.
110 The wicked have laid a snare for me: yet have I not erred from thy precepts.
Nichtswürdige haben mir Schlingen gelegt; / Aber von deinen Befehlen bin ich nicht abgeirrt.
111 I have taken thy testimonies as a heritage to eternity; for they are the joy of my heart.
Nie werd ich deine Zeugnisse fahren lassen, / Denn sie sind meines Herzens Wonne.
112 I have inclined my heart to perform thy statutes always, in all their ways.
Neigen lassen hab ich mein Herz, deine Satzungen zu erfüllen: / Das bringt ewigen Lohn.
113 SAMECH. Those of divided thoughts I hate; but thy law do I love.
Solche, die sich absondern, hasse ich; / Doch dein Gesetz hab ich lieb.
114 My shelter and my shield art thou: for thy word do I wait.
Sichrer Schutz und Schild bist du für mich; / Auf dein Wort hab ich geharrt.
115 Depart from me, ye evildoers, that I may keep the commandments of God.
Sondert euch ab von mir, ihr Übeltäter, / Damit ich meines Gottes Gebote halte!
116 Uphold me according to thy promise, that I may live, and let me not be made ashamed of my hope.
Sei du meine Stütze nach deiner Verheißung, damit ich am Leben bleibe, / Und laß mich nicht zuschanden werden mit meiner Hoffnung!
117 Support me that I may be placed in safety, and I will direct my regard unto thy statutes continually.
Sei du mein sichrer Halt, damit ich gerettet werde! / Dann will ich stets mit Vertraun auf deine Satzungen schaun.
118 Thou hast trodden down all that erringly stray from thy statutes; for falsehood is their deceit.
Sie, die von deinen Satzungen irren, hast du immer verworfen; / Denn nichts als Lüge ist ihr verführerisch Tun.
119 Like dross dost thou put away all the wicked of the earth: therefore do I love thy testimonies.
So wie Schlacken hast du alle Frevler des Landes hinweggeräumt; / Drum lieb ich deine Zeugnisse.
120 My flesh trembleth shudderingly from dread of thee, and of thy decrees am I afraid.
Sieh, ich schaudre in Angst vor dir; / Denn vor deinen Gerichten fürcht ich mich.
121 'AYIN. I have executed justice and righteousness: leave me not to those who oppress me.
Ausgeübt hab ich Recht und Gerechtigkeit: / So gib mich denn nicht meinen Drängern preis!
122 Protect thy servant for good: let not the presumptuous oppress me.
Auf deines Knechtes Wohl sei du bedacht, / Daß Frevler mich nicht vergewaltigen!
123 My eyes look eagerly for thy salvation, and for thy righteous promise.
Ausgeschaut hab ich voll Sehnsucht, daß mir Hilfe komme / Und deine Verheißung sich erfülle.
124 Deal with thy servant according to thy kindness, and thy statutes do thou teach me.
An deinem Knechte handle du nach deiner Huld / Und lehre mich deine Satzungen!
125 I am thy servant: give me understanding, that I may know thy testimonies.
Ach, sieh, ich bin dein Knecht: unterweise mich, / Daß ich deine Zeugnisse erkenne!
126 It is time to act for the Lord: they have broken thy law.
An der Zeit ist's für Jahwe, zu handeln: / Sie haben ja dein Gesetz gebrochen.
127 Therefore do I love thy commandments more than gold, and more than fine gold.
Aus diesem Grunde lieb ich deine Gebote / Mehr als Gold und gediegen Gold.
128 Therefore do I esteem all thy precepts in all things as right: every path of falsehood do I hate.
Aus diesem Grunde hab ich auch stets all deine Befehle aufrechtgehalten / Und jeglichen Lügenpfad gehaßt.
129 PE. Wonderful are thy testimonies: therefore doth my soul keep them.
Fürwahr, deine Zeugnisse sind wunderbar; / Darum bewahrt sie auch meine Seele.
130 The opening of thy words giveth light, it giveth understanding unto the simple.
Führst du in deine Gebote ein, so wird es licht: / Einfältige werden verständig.
131 I opened my mouth, and panted for breath; because for thy commandments did I long.
Frei hab ich meinen Mund geöffnet voll Verlangen; / Denn nach deinen Geboten sehnte ich mich.
132 Turn thou unto me, and be gracious unto me, as is thy wont unto those that love thy name.
Führ mir deine Gnade zu: / Das dürfen ja auch erwarten, die deinen Namen lieben.
133 My steps establish thou through thy promise, and suffer not any wrong to have dominion over me.
Fest mach meine Schritte durch dein Wort / Und laß mich nichts Böses beherrschen!
134 Deliver me from the oppression of man, and I will observe thy precepts.
Frei laß mich sein von der Menschen Druck, / Damit ich deine Befehle erfülle!
135 Let thy face shine upon thy servant, and teach me thy statutes.
Für deinen Knecht laß du dein Antlitz leuchten / Und lehre mich deine Satzungen!
136 Streams of water have run down my eyes; because they had not observed thy law.
Flossen nicht aus meinen Augen Wasserbäche / Über die, die dein Gesetz nicht halten?
137 TZADDE. Righteous art thou, O Lord, and upright are thy decrees.
Zeigst du nicht, Jahwe, dich gerecht? / Drum ist auch all dein Walten richtig.
138 Thou hast commanded thy testimonies, as righteous and faithful exceedingly.
Zugeteilt hast du deine Zeugnisse / In Treue und großer Wahrhaftigkeit.
139 My zeal destroyeth me; because my assailants have forgotten thy words.
Zehrender Eifer hat mich vernichtet; / Denn meine Feinde haben deine Worte vergessen.
140 Thy promise is greatly refined, and thy servant loveth it.
Zerschmolzen gleichsam in Feuer, ganz echt und bewährt ist dein Wort, / Und dein Knecht hat es lieb.
141 I am little and despised: yet thy precepts have I not forgotten.
Zwar bin ich jung und verachtet; / Doch deine Befehle hab ich nicht vergessen.
142 Thy righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, and thy law is the truth.
Zuverlässig gerecht bleibt deine Gerechtigkeit auf ewig, / Und dein Gesetz bleibt Wahrheit.
143 Distress and trouble have overtaken me: [yet] are thy commandments my delights.
Zwang und Drangsal haben mich getroffen; / Doch deine Gebote sind meine Lust.
144 Righteous are thy testimonies for everlasting: give me understanding, that I may live.
Zu aller Zeit sind deine Zeugnisse gerecht: / Laß mich sie verstehn, damit ich lebe!
145 KOPH. I have called with all my heart: answer me, O Lord: thy statutes will I keep.
Kraftvoll hab ich dich angerufen: / "Erhöre mich, Jahwe, deine Satzungen will ich halten!"
146 I have called on thee, save me, and I will observe thy testimonies.
Komm mir zu Hilfe, wenn ich dich rufe: / So will ich auf deine Zeugnisse achten.
147 I come before thee in the dawn of morning, and cry: for thy word do I wait.
Kaum graute der Morgen, da flehte ich schon: / "Ich habe geharrt, daß du dein Wort erfüllest."
148 My eyes are awake before the night-watches, that I may meditate in thy saying.
Konnte doch keine Nachtwache beginnen, ohne daß ich meine Augen schon offen hatte, / Um nachzusinnen über dein Wort.
149 Hear my voice according to thy kindness: O Lord, according to thy decree do thou grant me life.
Klagend ruf ich: hör mich in deiner Huld! / Nach deiner Treue, o Jahwe, belebe mich wieder!
150 They that pursue mischievous devices draw nigh: from thy law are they far.
Kommen mir nahe, die Schandtaten verüben wollen, / Menschen, die fern sind von deinem Gesetz:
151 Near art thou, O Lord; and all thy commandments are the truth.
Kommst du mir auch nahe, o Jahwe — / All deine Gebote aber sind Wahrheit.
152 Of old already I knew of thy testimonies; because for eternity hast thou founded them.
Kann ich doch längst schon aus deinen Zeugnissen sehn, / Daß du sie für immer verordnet hast.
153 RESH. Look on my affliction, and release me; for thy law have I not forgotten.
Richte den Blick auf mein Elend und reiß mich heraus, / Denn dein Gesetz hab ich nimmer vergessen.
154 Plead my cause, and deliver me: according to thy promise do thou revive me.
Recht schaffe du mir und erlöse mich, / Nach deiner Verheißung belebe mich wieder!
155 Far from the wicked is salvation; because thy statutes have they not sought for.
Rettung bleibt den Frevlern fern, / Denn deine Satzungen haben sie nicht gesucht.
156 Thy mercies are abundant, O Lord; according to thy decrees do thou revive me.
Reich, o Jahwe, ist dein Erbarmen; / Nach deinem Urteil belebe mich wieder!
157 Many are my persecutors and my assailants: yet from thy testimonies do I not turn away.
Reichlich bin ich verfolgt und bedrängt, / Aber doch nicht gewichen von deinen Geboten.
158 I beheld the treacherous, and felt disgust; because they observed not thy saying.
Recht von Ekel ward ich erfaßt, wenn ich Treulose sah, / Weil sie dein Wort nicht hielten.
159 Behold that I love thy precepts: O Lord, according to thy kindness do thou revive me.
Rechne mir zu, daß ich deine Befehle liebe; / Jahwe, belebe mich wieder nach deiner Huld!
160 The summit of thy word is truth: and the whole of thy righteous judgment endureth for ever.
Richtig ist's: deines Wortes Inhalt ist Wahrheit, / Und ewig währt all dein gerechtes Walten.
161 SHIN. Princes have persecuted me without a cause; but of thy word standeth my heart in dread.
Sonder Ursach haben mich Fürsten verfolgt, / Doch nur vor deinem Worte hat mein Herz gezittert.
162 I am rejoiced over thy promise, as one that findeth great spoil.
So froh bin ich ob deiner Verheißung / Wie einer, der viel Beute findet.
163 Falsehood I hate and abhor: but thy law do I love.
Schändliche Lüge hab ich stets gehaßt und verabscheut, / Dein Gesetz aber hab ich lieb.
164 Seven times in the day do I praise thee because of thy righteous decrees.
Siebenmal täglich hab ich dich stets gepriesen / Ob deiner gerechten Gerichtsurteile.
165 Abundant peace have they who love thy law; and thee is nothing that causeth them to stumble.
Schönen Frieden genießen alle, die deine Lehre lieben, / Und sie straucheln nimmer.
166 I have hoped for thy salvation, O Lord, and thy commandments have I fulfilled.
Sehnend hab ich, Jahwe, deiner Hilfe geharrt, / Und deine Gebote erfülle ich stets.
167 My soul hath observed thy testimonies, and I love them exceedingly.
Scheu befolg ich deine Befehle, / Und ich liebe sie sehr.
168 I have observed thy precepts and thy testimonies; because all my ways are before thee.
Scheu halt ich stets deine Ordnungen und Befehle, / Weil du ja all meine Wege kennst.
169 TAV. Let my entreaty come near before thee, O Lord: according to thy word grant me understanding.
Tu auf meinem Ruf den Weg zu dir, o Jahwe, / In deinem Wort mach mich verständig!
170 Let my supplication come before thee: according to thy promise do thou deliver me.
Tu auf meinem innigen Flehn den Weg zu dir, / Nach deiner Verheißung rette mich!
171 My lips shall utter praise; because thou wilt teach me thy statutes.
Triefen sollen meine Lippen von Lobgesang, / Wenn du mich deine Satzungen lehrst.
172 My tongue shall speak loudly of thy promise; for all thy commandments are righteous.
Tönen soll von meiner Zunge das Loblied auf deine Verheißung; / Denn deine Gebote sind alle gerecht.
173 Let thy hand be [ready] to help me; for thy precepts have I chosen.
Tritt du mir als Helfer zur Seite! / Denn deine Befehle hab ich zu Führern erkoren.
174 I have longed for thy salvation, O Lord; and thy law is my delights.
Tiefes Sehnen nach deinem Heil erfüllt mich, o Jahwe, / Und dein Gesetz ist meine Lust.
175 Let my soul live, and it shall praise thee: and let thy decrees help me.
Teile mir Leben zu, damit ich dich lobe! / Und deine Rechte mögen mir helfen.
176 I have gone erringly astray like a lost sheep: seek thy servant; for thy commandments have I not forgotten.
Tret ich auf einen Irrweg wie ein verloren Schaf, / Dann suche du deinen Knecht; denn deine Gebote vergesse ich nicht.
