Psalms 115
1 Not for our sake, O Lord, not for our sake, but unto thy name give glory, for the sake of thy kindness, for the sake of thy truth.
੧ਸਾਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ, ਹੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਸਾਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ, ਸਗੋਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਹੀ ਨਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਦਯਾ ਤੇ ਸਚਿਆਈ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਦੇ!
2 Wherefore should the nations say, Where now is their God?
੨ਕੌਮਾਂ ਇਉਂ ਆਖਣ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਕਿੱਥੇ ਹੈ?
3 Whereas our God is in the heavens: whatsoever he desireth hath he done.
੩ਸਾਡਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਸਵਰਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਨੇ ਜੋ ਚਾਹਿਆ ਸੋ ਕੀਤਾ।
4 Their idols are sliver and gold, the work of the hands of man.
੪ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਬੁੱਤ ਸੋਨਾ ਚਾਂਦੀ ਹੀ ਹਨ, ਓਹ ਇਨਸਾਨ ਦੇ ਹੱਥਾਂ ਦੀ ਬਣਾਵਟ ਹਨ।
5 A mouth they have, but speak not; eyes they have, but see not;
੫ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਮੂੰਹ ਤਾਂ ਹਨ ਪਰ ਬੋਲਦੇ ਨਹੀਂ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਤਾਂ ਹਨ ਪਰ ਓਹ ਵੇਖਦੇ ਨਹੀਂ,
6 Ears they have, but hear not; a nose they have, but smell not.
੬ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਕੰਨ ਤਾਂ ਹਨ ਪਰ ਓਹ ਸੁਣਦੇ ਨਹੀਂ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਨੱਕ ਤਾਂ ਹਨ ਪਰ ਓਹ ਸੁੰਘਦੇ ਨਹੀਂ,
7 They have hands, but they touch not; they have feet, but they walk not: nor do they give any utterance by their throat.
੭ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਹੱਥ ਵੀ ਹਨ ਪਰ ਓਹ ਫੜ੍ਹਦੇ ਨਹੀਂ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਪੈਰ ਵੀ ਹਨ ਪਰ ਓਹ ਚੱਲਦੇ ਨਹੀਂ, ਨਾ ਓਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੰਘ ਤੋਂ ਹੁੰਗਾਰਾ ਭਰਦੇ ਹਨ!
8 Like them are those that make them, every one that trusteth in them.
੮ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਹੀ ਵਰਗੇ ਹੋਣਗੇ, ਨਾਲੇ ਓਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਰੱਖਦੇ ਹਨ।
9 O Israel, trust thou in the Lord—he is their help and their shield.
੯ਹੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ, ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਉੱਤੇ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਰੱਖ! ਉਹ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਸਹਾਇਕ ਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਢਾਲ਼ ਹੈ।
10 O house of Aaron, trust ye in the Lord—he is their help and their shield.
੧੦ਹੇ ਹਾਰੂਨ ਦੇ ਘਰਾਣੇ, ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਉੱਤੇ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਰੱਖ! ਉਹ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਸਹਾਇਕ ਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਢਾਲ਼ ਹੈ।
11 Ye that fear the Lord, trust ye in the Lord—he is their help and their shield.
੧੧ਹੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਤੋਂ ਡਰਨ ਵਾਲਿਓ, ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਉੱਤੇ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਰੱਖੋ! ਉਹ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਸਹਾਇਕ ਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਢਾਲ਼ ਹੈ।
12 The Lord hath even been mindful of us, he will bless [us]; he will bless the house of Israel; he will bless the house of Aaron;
੧੨ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਚੇਤੇ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਬਰਕਤ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ, ਉਹ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਘਰਾਣੇ ਨੂੰ ਬਰਕਤ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ, ਉਹ ਹਾਰੂਨ ਦੇ ਘਰਾਣੇ ਨੂੰ ਬਰਕਤ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ!
13 He will bless those that fear the Lord, the small together with the great.
੧੩ਉਹ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਤੋਂ ਡਰਨ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਰਕਤ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ, ਕੀ ਛੋਟੇ ਕੀ ਵੱਡੇ!
14 May the Lord increase you more and more, you and your children.
੧੪ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਵਧਾਈ ਜਾਵੇ, ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਤੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਬਾਲਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ!
15 Blessed are ye of the Lord, who made heaven and earth.
੧੫ਤੁਸੀਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਮੁਬਾਰਕ ਹੋ, ਜਿਹੜਾ ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਤੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਦਾ ਸਿਰਜਣਹਾਰ ਹੈ।
16 The heavens are the heavens of the Lord; but the earth hath he given to the children of men.
੧੬ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਹਨ, ਪਰ ਧਰਤੀ ਉਹ ਨੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਮਾਤਰ ਦੇ ਵੰਸ਼ ਨੂੰ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ।
17 Not the dead can praise the Lord, nor all those that go down into the silence [of death].
੧੭ਮੁਰਦੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੀ ਉਸਤਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦੇ, ਨਾ ਓਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਖਮੋਸ਼ੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਤਰ ਗਏ ਹਨ।
18 But as for us, we will bless the Lord from this time forth and for evermore. Hallelujah.
੧੮ਪਰ ਅਸੀਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਮੁਬਾਰਕ ਆਖਾਂਗਾ, ਹੁਣ ਤੋਂ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਸਦੀਪਕ ਕਾਲ ਤੱਕ। ਹਲਲੂਯਾਹ!।
