< Psalms 114 >

1 When Israel went forth out of Egypt, the house of Jacob from a people of a strange language:
Fony nivoaka avy tany Egypta ny Isiraely, Dia ny taranak’ i Jakoba avy tany amin’ ny firenena hafa fiteny,
2 Judah became his sanctuary, [and] Israel his dominion.
Joda no fitoerany masìna, Isiraely no fanjakany.
3 The sea beheld it, and fled: the Jordan was driven backward.
Ny ranomasina nahita ka nandositra; Ary niorika Jordana.
4 The mountains skipped like wethers, the hills like lambs.
Ny tendrombohitra dia nifalihavanja tahaka ny ondrilahy, Ary ny havoana tahaka ny zanak’ ondry.
5 What aileth thee, O sea, that thou fleest? thou, O Jordan, that thou art driven backward?
Inona izato mahazo anao, ry ranomasina, no mandositra ianao? Ary ianao, ry Jordana, no miorika ianao?
6 Ye mountains, that ye skip like wethers? ye hills, like lambs?
Ary ianareo tendrombohitra, no mifalihavanja tahaka ny ondrilahy; Ary ianareo havoana, tahaka ny zanak’ ondry?
7 At the presence of the Lord tremble, O earth, at the presence of the God of Jacob;
Mihorohoroa eo anatrehan’ ny Tompo, ry tany, Dia eo anatrehan’ Andriamanitr’ i Jakoba.
8 Who changeth the rock into a pool of water, the flint into a fountain of water.
Izay mampody ny vatolampy ho rano monina Ary ny afovato ho loharano.
