< Psalms 114 >
1 When Israel went forth out of Egypt, the house of Jacob from a people of a strange language:
Isirayiri bwe yava mu Misiri, abaana ba Yakobo abo, ne bava mu bantu abaayogeranga olulimi olutali lwabwe;
2 Judah became his sanctuary, [and] Israel his dominion.
Yuda n’afuuka omutukuvu wa Katonda, Isirayiri n’afuuka amatwale ge.
3 The sea beheld it, and fled: the Jordan was driven backward.
Ennyanja bwe yabalaba n’edduka; Omugga Yoludaani ne gudda emabega.
4 The mountains skipped like wethers, the hills like lambs.
Ensozi ne zibuukabuuka ng’endiga zisseddume, n’obusozi obutono ng’obuliga obuto.
5 What aileth thee, O sea, that thou fleest? thou, O Jordan, that thou art driven backward?
Ggwe ennyanja, lwaki wadduka? Ggwe Yoludaani, lwaki wadda emabega?
6 Ye mountains, that ye skip like wethers? ye hills, like lambs?
Mmwe ensozi, lwaki mwabuukabuuka ng’endiga zisseddume, nammwe obusozi obutono ng’obuliga obuto?
7 At the presence of the Lord tremble, O earth, at the presence of the God of Jacob;
Kankana, ggwe ensi, mu maaso ga Mukama, mu maaso ga Katonda wa Yakobo,
8 Who changeth the rock into a pool of water, the flint into a fountain of water.
