Psalms 114

1 When Israel went forth out of Egypt, the house of Jacob from a people of a strange language:

Ότε εξήλθεν ο Ισραήλ εξ Αιγύπτου, ο οίκος του Ιακώβ εκ λαού βαρβάρου,

2 Judah became his sanctuary, [and] Israel his dominion.

Ο Ιούδας έγεινεν άγιος αυτού, ο Ισραήλ δεσποτεία αυτού.

3 The sea beheld it, and fled: the Jordan was driven backward.

Η θάλασσα είδε και έφυγεν· ο Ιορδάνης εστράφη εις τα οπίσω·

4 The mountains skipped like wethers, the hills like lambs.

τα όρη εσκίρτησαν ως κριοί, οι λόφοι ως αρνία.

5 What aileth thee, O sea, that thou fleest? thou, O Jordan, that thou art driven backward?

Τι σοι συνέβη, θάλασσα, ότι έφυγες; και συ, Ιορδάνη, ότι εστράφης εις τα οπίσω;

6 Ye mountains, that ye skip like wethers? ye hills, like lambs?

τα όρη, ότι εσκιρτήσατε ως κριοί; και οι λόφοι, ως αρνία;

7 At the presence of the Lord tremble, O earth, at the presence of the God of Jacob;

Τρέμε, γη, από προσώπου του Κυρίου, από προσώπου του Θεού του Ιακώβ·

8 Who changeth the rock into a pool of water, the flint into a fountain of water.

όστις μετέβαλε την πέτραν εις λίμνας υδάτων, τον σκληρόν βράχον εις πηγάς υδάτων.
