Psalms 113

1 Hallelujah. Praise, O ye servants of the Lord, praise ye the name of the Lord.

Halleluja! Lobet, ihr Knechte des HERRN, lobet den Namen des HERRN!

2 Let the name of the Lord be blessed from this time forth and for evermore.

Gelobet sei des HERRN Name von nun an bis in Ewigkeit!

3 From the rising of the sun unto his going down the name of the Lord is praised.

Vom Aufgang der Sonne bis zu ihrem Niedergang sei gelobet der Name des HERRN!

4 High above all nations is the Lord, above the heavens is his glory.

Der HERR ist hoch über alle Heiden; seine Ehre gehet, soweit der Himmel ist.

5 Who is like the Lord our God, who dwelleth on high?

Wer ist, wie der HERR, unser Gott? Der sich so hoch gesetzt hat

6 Who condescendeth to view what is done in the heavens, and on the earth?

und auf das Niedrige siehet im Himmel und auf Erden;

7 He raiseth up out of the dust the poor, from the dunghill he lifteth up the needy:

der den Geringen aufrichtet aus dem Staube und erhöhet den Armen aus dem Kot,

8 That he may set him with princes, even with the princes of his people.

daß er ihn setze neben die Fürsten, neben die Fürsten seines Volks;

9 He causeth the barren woman to dwell in the midst of [her] household, the joyful mother of children. Hallelujah.

der die Unfruchtbare im Hause wohnen macht, daß sie eine fröhliche Kindermutter wird. Halleluja!
