Psalms 112

1 Hallelujah. Happy is the man that feareth the Lord, that greatly delighteth in his commandments.

Lobet Jehova! Glückselig der Mann, der Jehova fürchtet, der große Lust hat an seinen Geboten!

2 His seed shall be mighty upon earth: the generation of the upright shall be blessed.

Sein Same wird mächtig sein im Lande; es wird gesegnet werden das Geschlecht der Aufrichtigen.

3 Plenty and riches shall be in his house, and his righteousness shall endure for ever.

Vermögen und Reichtum wird in seinem Hause sein, und seine Gerechtigkeit besteht ewiglich.

4 There ariseth in the darkness a light to the upright: he is gracious, and merciful, and righteous.

Den Aufrichtigen geht Licht auf in der Finsternis; er ist gnädig und barmherzig und gerecht.

5 Well will it be with the man who is kind, and lendeth: he will guide his affairs with justice.

Wohl dem Manne, der gnädig ist und leiht! Er wird seine Sachen durchführen im Gericht;

6 Surely unto eternity shall he not be moved: in everlasting remembrance shall the righteous be held.

denn in Ewigkeit wird er nicht wanken. Zum ewigen Andenken wird der Gerechte sein.

7 Of an evil report shall he not be afraid: his heart is firm, trusting in the Lord.

Nicht wird er sich fürchten vor böser Kunde; fest ist sein Herz, vertrauend auf Jehova.

8 Well supported is his heart, he shall not be afraid, until he looketh on [the punishment of] his assailants.

Befestigt ist sein Herz; er fürchtet sich nicht, bis er seine Lust sieht an seinen Bedrängern.

9 He distributeth, he giveth to the needy: his righteousness endureth for ever; his horn shall be exalted in honor.

Er streut aus, gibt den Armen; seine Gerechtigkeit besteht ewiglich; sein Horn wird erhöht werden in Ehre.

10 The wicked shall see it, and be vexed; he will gnash with his teeth, and melt away: the longing of the wicked shall perish.

Der Gesetzlose wird es sehen und sich ärgern; mit seinen Zähnen wird er knirschen und vergehen; das Begehren der Gesetzlosen wird untergehen.
